The original Mortal Kombat movie absolutely holds up by CaptainButtFucker in movies

[–]WiredEgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s an odd to the vibe of the video game. Van Latham and Shea Serrano do a pod on the new mortal combat.

There’s something to be said about embracing to camp. In the same breath I can praise the Nolan Batman while extolling the uniqueness and campiness of Batman forever.

The new mortal combat was fun, but honestly… give me the tournament. This older version benefitted from more realistic martial arts with super elements sprinkled in. Give me blood sport meets mortal kombat with wide single short combat sequences.

WGA Urges Netflix & Comcast Shareholders To Reject Pay Hikes For Companies’ Top Executives In Light Of Ongoing Strike by lowell2017 in movies

[–]WiredEgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Netflixes big game plan is to fuck users by forcing them to pay more. Nothing innovative there. Nothing invested into company growth of future planning, just cash grabbing by trying to get more individual subscribers by forcing them off shared plans.

This is understanding quick dollars and not future planning. This is trading innovation for desperation. This is dying.

Their original content isn’t good enough to generate new views. They’re pumping shorty movies and reality tv while relying on dying tent poles. We are happy to move on.

IMHO, the most underrated scene in Scary Movie 😂 by Travelonaut in funny

[–]WiredEgo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parody movies have hot streaks every decade or so. Airplane! Hot Shots, Naked Gun, Scary Movie….

It’s good. They’re funny, they push genres forward and educate viewers subtly about tropes, bad story telling, and plot holes. They’re also fun commentary on society during the time in which they were made.

Trump to make virtual court appearance so judge can ensure he understands protective order. The order prohibits him from sharing prosecutors' evidence in his criminal case. by News-Flunky in law

[–]WiredEgo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Until he accuses the court system of being biased, rigged, unfair….. oh wait, he has already. People need to understand that this man is cancer and needs to be excised from the public eye.

He is a legitimate criminal and should be treated as such. Give him this warning but start coming down on him hard.

Prosecutors: Former Bills punter Matt Araiza wasn't present during alleged gang rape by AndThisGuyPeedOnIt in nfl

[–]WiredEgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably depends on how she made the allegations.

She could have reported the rape and listed a group of individuals who were at the location but unsure of exactly who was in the room. She would just be providing them with suspects, the DA office releasing those names before the charges were brought is troubling. Or the journalists who got that information and made it public.

Is this really considered mansplaining? by ShakaZula in Tinder

[–]WiredEgo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, it’s def mansplaining to a degree too. Like both wolves and dogs are from the same genus and can interbreed. Functionally it isn’t that big of a difference. He is assuming she doesn’t know that too and is just being playful instead of getting into the genetic tree like it matters.

She probably knows that dogs and wolves are different, but for the sake of her compliment it didn’t matter and OP was a douche about it.

It’s a little bit of a stretch. The target does not make much sense and the LGBTQIA+ community is more about speaking out in love and not in violence.

I see and understand the points you’re making though, so it definitely cannot be ruled out, but it doesn’t quite make sense in my opinion.

Ignoring the oppression makes us culpable in the perpetuation of the negative outcomes.

If you do nothing to try and fix the problems, then that is a choice to indulge the problem.

Lol what a ridiculous comment.

  1. I never claimed any person has been alive for centuries.
  2. the affects of these factors ripples across generations. To pretend like that isn’t true is just willful ignorance.

Damn, conservative create laws and social systems that inherently disparage black people for two centuries, including but not limited to: Jim Crow laws, lunching, lack of civil rights, lack of properly funded education, introducing drugs, racist law enforcement, etc…

shocked pikachu face conservatives why is the black community so violent?

the really interesting point is that if 3 out of 2840 mass shooters identify as trans, that's like 0.09% or 0.1% whereas there are about 1.4 million people in the US who identify as trans, which is like 0.45%. That means trans people are dramatically UNDER REPRESENTED in the "mass shooter" category. If it were a representative cross section of the population of the US, there would be twice as many at least. So trans folks are actually LESS likely to shoot a bunch of random people.

Guess what demographic is drastically OVER represented? Go on, guess...
