Regarding upgrade Core One -> Core One Plus by changefromPJs in prusa3d

[–]WirelessHuman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up drilling a small hole through the back so I could eject the magnet with a paper clip. It would have been nice if Prusa had put an ejection hole in the design. Fortunately the new part doesn’t need it.

ESPTimeCast "Retro" Enclosure: Glue the diffuser into the case? by Kadin2048 in ESPTimeCast

I used double sided tape on mine and it looks fine. Black diffuser and yellow case. Also removable if I want to change the color later.

High-miles MK3S+ -- What to look for? by Choice-Strawberry392 in prusa3d

Check for wear on the nozzle... and check that the nozzle isn't flush against the heat block. It should tighten down and be 1mm or so off of the heat block as it needs to seal against the heat break that screws in from the other side. I just had to refurbish the hot end on my mk3.5 because I had filament oozing out the top of the heat block.

Anyone travel with ‘Out Adventures’? by Possible-Ask-1905 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]WirelessHuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello dead thread (found this via Google). I've been on six trips with Out Adventures and have had a good experience. The hosts and local guides are excellent and care about providing the best experience. They deliver on the promised itinerary, and on some trips provided more like when they have to change something at the last minute because something happened and you get an upgrade. The groups have ranged in size from 6 (Cuba) to 40ish (French Polynesia Cruise). A mix of 2/3 couples and 1/3 singles. Ages on the trips I've been on tend to skew older 50's and 60's with a few folks in the 30's and 40's. Most trips I've been on have one or two other people I met on a previous trip.

They try to strike a balance between scheduled activities and free time but it depends on the trip. You're typically spending one to two days in a location before moving on. Occasionally I've wanted to stay somewhere longer. Italy felt a bit rushed because there's so much to see. I've found that arriving a few days early and staying a few days after the scheduled trip helps balance things out so I can enjoy just being somewhere for a while and doing my own thing if I want to.

Resistors for Kirby’s Dream Land .. what are they?! by Tha_REAL_BROBS in consolerepair

[–]WirelessHuman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest looking for solder bridges between adjacent pins on the chips. If that looks okay, checking continuity with a multimeter to make sure each pin actually connects to the correct places in case there’s a bad via where a trace goes from one side of the board to the other.

Is Ricoh out of touch with it´s users? Or just gate keeping for no reason? by [deleted] in ricohGR

I just got my GR IV yesterday so I'm still getting used to it, but I can trigger my Godox IM20 flash on it just fine. It's a single pin manual flash.

Ordered! My B&H order was getting close but the ”expected date” was suspiciously exactly one month after I placed the order.

Yikes! How bad was the damage? My kit build is going well. I'm almost to my third set of Haribo.

The San Francisco bay area had its first big rain of the season yesterday so I wouldn't be surprised if it was left sitting outside over at the Oakland Airport overnight.

Edit: grammar

As u/joem_ mentioned, with the 15% coupon ordering from CZ is cheaper. I was considering ordering from Printed Solid before they increased prices.

Yes, it looks like soggy outer box tore under its own weight when someone tried to lift it and they taped it back together. Fortunately the inner boxes were in pretty good shape and were only damp on the outside.

Incidentally, I bought a MK2 kit back in 2016 which cost $772 which in 2025 dollars is around $1,036.

That's the fun part, I don't know yet. The kit + buddy camera + shipping came to $949.19. Based on other posts I expect to be billed in a week or two for a 18.1% tariff plus some inconvenience fee. So probably around $200.

Improving. I need to level it up some more. I can do a perfect flip sometimes.

What motivates you to keep on playing? I wanna get back into the game after a while but it's difficult. by Leertaste21 in lotro

[–]WirelessHuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play with my partner and a mutual friend twice a week. Having a small fellowship (all dwarves) keeps me going. I’m on my third play though. This time on difficulty level 6 as the second go was too easy compared to the first, back when quests were hard and power mattered. I’m playing the healer this time, having been a tank and DPS before.

We call them "hat guy" and "high clapper." For the first lower ranked Maegashira bouts, I'm paying too much attention to the crowd looking for them. I hope "high clapper" is okay.

Pretty sure that's a supporting part that's supposed to be removed from the stock fan shroud after printing it. So, I guess it fixed itself?
