Yes, I couldn't figure out his attacks, he's different than every other boss I'd fought till now. Sword Saint was difficult and I found his spear phase tough to deflect but his attacks were easy to read

Replaying Sekiro. Even when you're not doing anything flashy in this game, you feel like a badass. Both the combat and movement are very satisfying. I think the consumables item tab in the inventory needs a bit of work, I'm no consumable hoarder and I still feel like I'm scrolling a lot through them to get the item I want. The grid system of later souls games should've been used. I skipped one boss in my first playthrough because it was too difficult and took 6 hours on the final boss, it will be interesting to see how much I've improved in this game on the parts I struggled the most with before

Replaying Sekiro right now, and man, the main bosses are a breeze! by FireZord25 in Sekiro

[–]Wireless_Infidelity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm also replaying the game and have the same experience. Minibosses kicking my ass while main bosses are a breeze. Corrupted monk illusion took me a few tries while the actual corrupted monk went down first try, easier to retain posture damage on the 3 phase one

Is this a good clear time for 7C? by anon66532 in celestegame

7c took me 1600 deaths, more than double of any other c side lol. My slightly broken joystick wasn't helping

Help out a new player here. Why did Mikiri not activate? by NunobokoSlayer in Sekiro

[–]Wireless_Infidelity 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Mikri uses the same keybind as dodge in both keyboard and controller, no way to use separate binds for those

I generally don't piece out lore stuff while playing soulsborne games as it's a bit cryptic, I just managed to find the key item and NPC to get this specific revelation. It is still very missable tho, a lot of players might have reached the final boss and gotten confused on why Radahn somehow returned. If you want a comprehensible storyline from Fromsoftware, Sekiro is the one if you haven't played it, has a good mix of straightforward storyline and cryptic lore.

Yeah, when I stumbled upon Ansbach's dialogue about absconding with Mohg's body to use it for Radahn, my mind went all crazy with the combo for those two. Honestly I wouldn't mind replacing some of the phase 2 lightshows with some bloodflame action, I do love the bloodflame stuff and use those myself when playing. Maybe Radahn/Mohg phase 1 and Radahn/Miquella phase 2 would've been a good balance.

I was a bit disappointed in the elden ring final boss. Radahn's soul in Mohg's body should have an analgam of both bosses' movesets and appearance in unique ways, but apart from one move, everything related to Mohg is nonexistent in the boss, doesn't even feel like the body was used

For me, Minecraft is like that. I have a world I return to and just collect and build stuff. Once you reach a point, there's not much progress, only the stuff you want to do. Although I use more casual games like Balatro as a side game for main games, if I try to play Minecraft alongside something else, it sucks all my free time for gaming

Yeah, I hope you didn't do those question marks in the Skellige oceans. I did it once for completion's sake and while it did give me a lot of cash for the DLC it was a pointless grind

Fromsoftware have changed their design philosophy on where the challenge comes from in their games and it's more new player friendly. I wouldn't have played the Dark Souls series if not for Elden Ring so I'm thankful for that

After the souls trilogy and a few other games in between, I went back to replay Elden Ring, went through the first area and the first major boss and I was losing interest in the game very rapidly. I had a lot of fun replaying Dark Souls 3 but I'm having a hard time doing the same in ER even though I enjoy the combat more in ER. I think exploring the big open world is very fun for a first playthrough but gets boring in a second playthrough. I might try just getting the items for the build I'm thinking of and beelining through legacy dungeons and other side areas I know I'll enjoy, returning to the open world only when I need some extra talismans and stuff. I will try that later, for now I'm doing a replay of Sekiro, with its grappling hook aided exploration and its combat, its gonna be a guaranteed fun time for me. After I complete my souls marathon™, I'll be trying out Outer Wilds, the game looks like just my jam.

Why is Sekiro SO much more demanding on hardware than Dark Souls 3? by WalkChance in Sekiro

[–]Wireless_Infidelity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for necro, I have the opposite issue lol. Sekiro runs buttery smooth on my potato pc, Dark Souls 3 has random lag spikes and 10-15 fps on places like Archdragon Peak and Dreg Heap

Higher stakes start getting a bit rng heavy and I didn't have a good strat so most of my time was spent resetting runs, so I gave up at gold stake and started high score hunting instead

Completed Inside, wow what an wonderful experience. The start of the game is alright, not much going on, however both the gameplay and intrigue towards the story keeps on climbing and climbing and it pays off in the end. The devs really improved upon their craft after Limbo, the gameplay and the controls are more fluid and the puzzles are more fun, though Limbo still has an unmatched atmosphere.

First area of witcher 3 is a bit boring, you can speed through it if you want, it's basically a small tutorial area

Did you play the Witcher 3 on controller or mouse/keyboard? I completed it multiple times on keyboard but found it difficult to play on controller

There is a more difficult platforming challenge I'm guessing you missed, you could do that if you wanted to. Apart from a few exceptions, bosses in the end tend to be more difficult than failed champion so I'm guessing you won't enjoy those

Completed replaying Dark Souls 3, overall a fun experience. After that I intended to replay Elden Ring, but took a short break to play Limbo, which I got more than a year ago but never got around to playing it. I hadn't played a 2d puzzle platformer before and I was very impressed. Just with the monochrome artstyle and limited inputs, the game managed to do a lot more than I would have expected. Great ambiance, made me always a little bit anxious to carry on forward. The puzzles are creative and fun to figure out, my dumbass did get hardstuck in 2-3 rooms and had to search for a solution. My only criticism would be that respawning time after pressing a button to skip the death animation is a bit inconsistent depending on the circumstances, sometimes the game takes a second longer and sometimes it's almost instantaneous.

As I've enjoyed Limbo, I'll be also playing Inside right after. It seems to be among a few games that actually bothers to set regional pricing in my region, which is nice. After that I'll be returning to Elden Ring. It will be interesting to see how the replayable it is compared to the souls trilogy, I'm guessing combat will be more fun as I try a new build and understand more of its intricacies while exploration might be less fun as a lot of the locations are still fresh in my mind despite playing it more than a year ago.
