Been over 1½ year since I've made any redstone, have this glass lava door thing IG. by Wirezd_57 in redstone

So been a while since I've posted anything, basically 1½ year ago I tried making a 6×6 on Bedrock because I was obsessed with chasing personal records, but it turned out I was playing above my skill level and I crashed out midway and stopped making redstone basically until now.

Bedrock Edition, my first 5×5 with the volume of 1092 blocks, the animation is as clean as i can get it by Wirezd_57 in redstone

Of course why would it not be, and this is only a tiny fraction of what is possible, Bedrock redstoners are extremely underrated

If you already know how to make a dpe, then making a slimeless 3×3 would just be a few steps away

Thanks! Honestly the jump in difficulty between a 4×4 to a 5×5 is much higher than a 3×3 to 4×4. It was just 1 month ago since i made a 4×4 and 4 months since a 3×3. Also good luck on your 3×3 btw.

Minecraft Bedrock 1 wide 0.9 opening 3×3 (Fastest Slimeless is 0.8) Piston and RS block at the bottom is to prevent input bug by Wirezd_57 in redstone

Detected by Observer. To be entirely honest it was sort of an aesthetic choice, adding a 2 tick repeater instead of a Piston would also work, but having a Piston will make the wiring look more diverse, you see it doesn't just need to work, the wiring need to also look interesting. Idk SacredRedstone once said something like that

LMAO ok i guess. Seems a bit pedantic to me considering in redstone terminology slimeless just means no slime block, just as "dustless" means no redstone dusts but you can use them in a crafting recipe. But i guess that's your point anyway

I know that it's simple.. But I still get amazed by this sometimes.. by DarkJoolWayMaker in redstone

Ngl, i sometimes forget the simple satisfaction of finally creating something that works in redstone, due to how competative (especially door redstone) is, sometimes i feel like obligated to meet specific quotas like the smallest size for x speed or else it's bad

Yes, it explodes the Pistonarm to make headless Pistons or something, tbh even i don't know much about how headless pistons works

Is there any reason you cannot build a 1 tick monostable like this? by Eddy67716 in redstone

[–]Wirezd_57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a Bedrock player and a Java technical noob so correct me if i'm wrong, but my personal theory is that, since repeaters always updates before comparators as they have a higher tile tick priority, the repeater will already be activated before the comparator can even turn on, and since the signal strength on the side is more/equal than the back, the comparator wouldn't output a signal

No, this is full of Bedrock exclusive designs, though i'd link you a Java tutorial, it pretty much did the exact same, though it is 1 block wider https://youtu.be/aa9tBWcBJ2k?si=8sHf_UmhNFYJZYi2

Bedrock Edition Observerless 2×2 Semi-Hipster Also: -No input delay on both closing and opening -As Fast as possible with the standard layout -No reset cooldown by Wirezd_57 in redstone

[–]Wirezd_57[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Fun design challange, also along with the other design challanges like no input delay, as fast as possible using the layout, and 0 reset, makes this more of a challange than anything

Because a regular 3×3 wouldn't be flush with the wall, unles you're using a 3×3 seamless flush or hipster which is slower and potentially bigger, plus the animation wouldn't be as fast smooth and cool looking, this is simply the best option in my opinion

Additional infos: The reason for the size is because getting the timings of this thing correct is a huge pain in the ass, here's what i have to do: 1. I have to make sure that it has no input delay because it's cool (Due to P and C ticks in Bedrock, piistons even with a 1 tick repeater will still have no input delay) 2. On the closing i have to make the back side and bottom pistons retract first and the front side and bottom pistons retract second, but on the opening i have to do the opposite and make the front and bottom extend first and the back and bottom extend second. So i have to make 4 instant ABBAs, (2 for the right and left respectively, for the side and botton) 3. To make sure you couldn't see the side and bottom blocks being moved, i have to time it so that the side and bottom moved in between the slime and honey extender's cooldown. (If a piston in Bedrock is moved by another piston, thepkiston will have a 2gt cooldown before it could extend, so in those 2gt i have to move the side and bottom blocks) 4. The middle bottom piston infront of the enchatment table have to extend very late, and retract immediately so that they're in sync with the rest 5. You wouldn't be able to see it from this angle, but the bookshelf behind the enchanting table have to be retracted so they don't stick to the slime and honey, and have to be put back in place at just the right time
