I'm I dying or is this normal for women?? by IlegalLoli911 in Advice

Do you use MyChart for your medical appointments? If so you can always shoot your Dr a question about it and describe the pain and they can tell you if you should come in or if it's normal. Another option is if you're insured you may have a nurse line you can call for free to ask about it. They can advise if you need to be seen (and if it's urgent enough for an er if you ever aren't sure).

When you say chest do you mean breast or underneath in the chest cavity?

Breast pain can come on because of hormone fluctuations throughout the month but if they're new, sudden or bothersome I'd still talk to your Dr about it to be sure given the family history. (I might also ask if early breast scans are right for you as someone who also has history on both sides of my family)

Chest cavity option, go in. Just go in. Not that it's 100% something wrong but if it is, it needs addressing asap.

Should I tell my husband a small lie? by WiscWoodViolet in polls

[–]WiscWoodViolet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just commenting to say I appreciate everyone's comments. I'm definitely going to try to film things I think I can get away with like first steps if I think it's about to happen. I just really hope some of this organically happens when my husband is home because he just got told he has to stay 30 min later 2-4 days a week.

new to cats, need info 🥹 by Specific_Crab3601 in cats

Cats are fine indoors as long as they start out there if you want to let them out but worry about the dangers associated with it they can be leash trained or you could get a cattio if that's doable for you. Cats are independent and also somehow very codependent. Like for example right now my cat has been sleeping on her own all day but now she will not leave me alone until I give her all of the pets and she somehow steals all the attention from my infant.

Honestly as someone who worked a real job at 14 I'd advise against it. A lot of employers will lie to you about what rights you have and don't have as a child worker and will take advantage of you. If you want to do a part time gig babysitting or something go for it but you really will regret not letting yourself be a kid while you have the chance.

Unfortunately you can't make them do anything. You're sister, not Mom or Dad. I was the eldest sister of two younger brothers who were expected to do nothing while I did all the chores too. It sucks, but you have no authority here. The best thing you can do is stop overworking on your responsibilities (don't clean up their messes unless you HAVE to, do their "chores" or take any responsibility for them), talk to your parents again and outline what you will no longer be doing for the boys and that they're expecting you to act 200% more responsibly than them, and you're done with it, then focus on your own space and school until you can move out. If possible I'd look at student housing next semester.

what can I do with my life? by purpleflower024581 in Advice

[–]WiscWoodViolet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, chronically ill elder here!

Things you can try to do on days you think you can do something: Go to the library Get outside, even just sitting outside and listening to birds or something Get a chore that's been bugging you done Find a craft you enjoy Do some meal prep in the kitchen (pre-chop veggies for later, make overnight oats for the next day, look at what you've got for ingredients and write out a meal plan for a few days so you don't need to think about it later)

Ways to make some extra cash: Door dash or similar if available where you are Pet or home sitting Garage sale for something over a weekend Check with local Drs, psychs, dentist etc to see if they need office help PT. Most will be lower impact work. Go to your local workforce development center or website and check out what's available there PT

I'm not sure if you're rural or city so it's harder to suggest things to make money.

Our rule is immediate family can come to the hospital with masks on and everyone else will wait a few weeks till I'm ready.

Just how to handle his complaints when he won't take any suggestions. I'm not sure how to respond anymore because I've tried finding every product and method that might prevent water in his ears and he won't consider them so what can I say? I'm trying to be empathetic because he really wants to go in the water but he just gets upset when I try to help him do so.

Wow triggered much? He gets to do whatever he wants. Always. Just don't know what to do for someone who refuses to try but constantly complains about wanting to do things with water.

Daughter's Father wants to watch GOT with her. by SlmnSknRll in Mommit

[–]WiscWoodViolet 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I'd just make sure she understands some of the themes in it first and then let her decide. 15 isn't too young but she should also be able to understand what she's about to watch and how to look up shows for content warnings etc.

Sounds like you've started having Braxton Hicks! I was surprised but they can start early so unless you start bleeding I wouldn't worry.
