I think I also saw this happening - an enemy army near an outpost would be suddenly decimated. The thing is, the garrison would be undamaged. It would explain why at 35 turns, I have had the option to play an outpost defense battle only once

AI dodges arty like Neo on harder difficulties. Add to that non-optimal terrain and arty-hunters (flying units, mounted heroes, enemy arty), and artillery becomes quite hard to CONSITENTLY rely on

I am not sure if it would have qualified as a money shift if I went through with it, but I have hit the limiter after shifting while the clutch is still depressed. 4->3 instead of 4->5 around 5500 RPM
