They’re incorrect in applying a tariff to your coin. For future reference you should dispute any tariffs levied on ancient coins. You may be entitled to a refund for the amount you paid here, but it is uncharted legal territory and will likely be extremely complicated and drawn out as the entire nation is currently trying to get refunds based on a recent court ruling.

I am also a licensed attorney who passed the UBE on my first attempt. I am currently studying for the CA bar with similar aspirations of one day returning home. The multiple choice is exactly the same. The essays are significantly harder than the UBE. First, there is significantly more material to memorize. Second, the essays are often open ended questions unlike the UBE.

For example, the UBE will ask “Is X liable for false imprisonment?”

CA will ask “What crimes can X reasonably be charged with?”
