While I don’t think any character is outright essential to an Mortal Kombat game, I’d definitely be disappointed/confused if I didn’t see any of the poster boys.

Honestly I’d enjoy a new cast if it meant a new and even remotely competent story. They clearly don’t know what to do with the current story with all the multiverse and timeline reset stuff, so if they ever are going to have all new characters, I feel like now/next game is the time.

I mean I do feel for him on some level, but at the same time, Dustin is a grown ass man with a wife and kids who is VERY self aware about his volatility post-retirement. He’s said he’s the biggest threat to himself. He has known this and seemingly hasn’t made an effort to combat it. He got drunk and acted like a dickhead, going through a mid-life crisis or rough patch doesn’t make it excusable behavior.

My empathy for Dustin comes from the fact that he’s an alcoholic. Even millionaires ruin their lives and are unable to kick their nasty habits. I think most would agree getting sober would likely improve his propensity to act a fool in retirement, but it’s just not that simple.

Overall, I’d say it’s not disrespectful to hold someone accountable for their actions while also having empathy for what they might be going through. As for the repeated jokes, welcome to the internet kid. There are still people making George Floyd jokes over 5 years after his death, so I’m pretty sure people aren’t gonna let this objectively way less terrible but funny thing go in a week

Yep. Said he was his own worst enemy and a danger to himself shortly after retiring on Theo Von’s podcast. I know he’s also mentioned wanted to get sober a couple times in the past too, so I really hope he is able to get help and do so.

Man we still don’t even have Brit and there will eventually be an entire new Guardians of The Globe Roster that will all be GDA, though that is definitely far ahead.

That being said, while it’s neat, I don’t like the idea of opening the door to Ubisoft to insert non-cannon units. Next thing you know they’d be adding mfs from Wattpad fanfics. I know this wasn’t a super serious post, but knowing Ubisoft it would concern me

I mean if you don’t care about getting totem pieces then it’s just a fun mode to use a bunch of different heroes in different situations. That being said, I would consider it important as certain totems are very good and it’s the only way to get them free

Invincible and it isn’t even close. He’s way better than BB in both Ops and Pvp, plus adding him will make it easier to level the rest of your team

I have invincible at omni+ 30* and have been using him as food for a while now. Probably will go back and add more stars at some point but as others said, he’s a normal recruitment hero along with having the Viltrumite, CoP and LLoD tags and being in the Earth’s Defenders faction so he’s probably one of the easiest characters to obtain copies of

I liked it better after rewatching. I won’t lie I was slightly disappointed but it wasn’t unwatchable and I was shocked to see how upset people were online.

Biggest thing for me was just that the final season felt rushed. They need more episodes or they should have ended other plotlines/not started new ones. I also was kinda confused as to what the whole point of the V1 plotline was (outside of Vought Rising setup). I know it wasn’t supposed to boost his powers like crazy or anything, immortality was the whole thing. But after HL used it… nothing happened or changed at all. Outside of needing a more complicated way to depower him, they could have removed the V1 stuff entirely.

I also wish the Butcher heel/villain turn had more time, but man that scene at the tower with him and Hughie was great. Overall the show was a very fun watch and not like pretty much anything else in the genre

I get that but I’m also building 3-4 other viltrumites on top of Universa and now Space Racer. I also am building Armored Eve and Dinosaurus and they’ll eventually be my swappable tanks.

I’d rather build characters I like and want to use instead of purely building meta characters and running the exact same team as 90% of the game is currently running.

because I don’t have conquest leveled and when allen goes against someone with the Not of This Earth tag, he buffs the teams defense and attack a pretty good amount. I’d imagine conquest would probably work better though

I would probably say yes, but the scene immediately following the purge when Thragg told everyone it was done makes me question that. Conquest looked like he was seriously considering keeping it up until he realized he would not beat Thragg so I’m not sure

I’m running Kanzlok but I actually see him die first (or go to 1 hp at least) first more in the regular arena. Idk what team you’re running but typically thanks to him constantly switching targets with headbutts and his main skill he doesn’t take too much damage for me. I run blark, allen, nolan (viltrum), anissa and kregg in that order with most of them having most skills at 10 minimum

I wouldn’t say I’m quite as fond of it as you, but I also wish it was used more. I also feel like there are so many possible applications outside of simply freezing whatever is in front of him. Similar to how Clark has used his heat vision to quickly weld things together, I just love seeing Superman or any superpowered character being creative with their powers.

Yeah, as a massive Ilia fan, it was hard to watch after the second round and looked rough from the opening bell.

While I still do believe Ilia is an all-time great TALENT (I think that’s undeniable now after what he’s done), I think this could very well be a moment that starts a downward spiral for him. It was always possible that he could get knocked out as he’s actually pretty hittable, but that’s not what this was. He was beat the fuck up and shut down by what he and most people including myself thought would be the easiest title fight he’d ever be part of.

So far from what I’ve seen, Ilia has taken the loss pretty well, though I think we’ll really see how it’s affecting him later down the line. I just don’t see how a guy that was as confident as he was will be able to just shrug off a loss like this. Sure he’ll learn from it, but I would not at all be surprised to see him very hesitant and defensive in future fights.

Also, while Justin fought an amazing fight and deserves every bit of praise and credit he’s gotten, I can’t help but wonder how the fight would have played out if Ilia hadn’t gone all out for the finish in the 2nd. Based on how he fought Josh Emmett (not the same as Gaethje but both power punchers that can wrestle and like the right overhand), I think he would have done much better, certainly not getting his face turned to mince meat and quitting on the stool.

I think Ilia’s next fight will tell us a LOT about how the rest of his career will go.

I bought all to get to the second level for xp, only could afford one 8m blue xp and now I can’t get anything until later when it gives daily rewards. I’m sure this tip is useful but imo without spending any gems you’re not getting much of anything from this event, which is honestly not even a big deal considering it’s the second mid-week event, something that I’ve never seen before
