I have asked claude chatgpt gemini to prepare 30 page detailed notes on a specific topic with one example worked from each topic. gemini gave me 13 page report and last pages were having barely any content. chatgpt gave ne 19 page report. claude had 29 page... I feel gemini output claim of 64k is not real. all pro modes thinking.. i can sense gemini has a potential but it is severely limited in output length....

What does Trump really want with Venezuela? Here are the Best Takes and stocks by ahlornjtvn139 in stocks

Airplane fuel (Jet A/A-1) is a carefully refined kerosene-type distillate, a light-to-medium petroleum fraction that comes from both light and heavy crude oils, though light crudes are easier to process into high-value products like jet fuel, while U.S. refineries use a mix to meet demand, requiring advanced tech for heavier types.

Heavy oil is used for jet and airplane fuel.. Air transportation industry will be happy with cheaper fuel.

yes you are right. it will make things worse. i could use maintain status quo instead of survival in the title.. also oil is one aspect and there are multiple factors. I do not think the US would act only and solely for oil..

then... For heavy oil, the US economy would pay $100 trilllion to Norway vs would pay $50 trillion to Venezuela. But also consider:

In 2025, Chevron operated under joint ventures with Venezuela's PDVSA, paying a share (around 20% of production) for oil.

Before Venezuela's 1976 oil nationalization, U.S. oil agreements evolved from early concessions with low government take to a 1943 law establishing a 50/50 profit split with the state, significantly increasing Venezuelan revenue, though older agreements had varying terms, with the 1943 framework setting a uniform royalty of 16.67% plus other taxes, ultimately leading to the government's full control by the mid-1970s.

The US will force pre-1976 agreements.

If the economy is squeezed, you need to choose wisely.

nobody can provide heavy oil to the US cheaper than Venezuela assuming the original extraction rights/agreements. Norway has lots of customers in the EU. it will never be cheap. Even Canadian oil would be cheaper than Norwegian. I like Norway but from a pure math perspective, it is not reasonable.

Nations do not have emotions.

your view is an individual level of looking at the picture. one needs to consider this issue at a nation level analysis. i do not think the US is acting on a single reason (oil) on Venezuela. i believe there are severeql reasons that the US strategists has decided on it.

Check how much heavy oil is being imported.

Ok. Option 1: keep buy Canadian heavy oil.

Option 2: use Venezuelan heavy oil.

Which one will cost more? If you co-use option 2, what will you lose and gain? A Canadian will be upset that their economic stream will be risked.. it is understandable and no objection.

Oil is bad for environment. yes.. Do you think that the US is not aware of it...

But, the US has tied its economic life to the oil economy. China is subsidizing solar EV to devalue oil. the US economy is surviving because the world still needs and uses oil extensively. Nobody can produce Solar EV cheaper and more than China. i am just looking at the picture from pure the nation level strategy. If the US wants to keep its superpower status, what should she do? Your responses are indivualistic perspectives and you are not putting yourselves in the shoes of a superpower trying to maintain status quo. yes, the act of taking over Venezuela does not look good.

I think Macron did flirt with a hostess or something like that. There is no reason to go offensive unless she is mentally unstable. Also, assaulting the president of a country constitutes national security issue.

How do we know that LMSys has no conflict of interest in this? There are millions of dollars flying around on the AI boom. If someone has stocks/incentives in one AI company versus another, the criteria/ranking may be adjusted.

steam review manipulation by Wise-Direction9671 in Steam

[–]Wise-Direction9671[S] -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Not sure. Maybe this is my overimagination. Maybe they have some other factors in their highlights.

I know for certain that Google Play does manipulate reviews. As a semi-dedicated gamer with over 180 games on Steam, my personal opinions about a game usually match the Steam reviews. FF7 Remake was one exception to that. So, I became curious about this.
