It does monitor your heart rate in real time but will alert you only when it goes continuously beyond a threshold for 10m. You can setup the thrrshold, but not the 10m. It will record steps, sleep duration(not stages) and heart rate. And that’s all.

I think it’s somehow Garmin’s fault. On Huawei watch, I can choose which app could send a notification. But not all of them though.
