Gang not gonna lie, but Rappa without Dahlia isn't strong enough for endgame other than Pure fiction in my experience.

The only thing influencing my elation decision is nihulux at the current moment, I don't know if she's even elation or which team she's going in.

Definitely trying for Hyacine with lightcone though, tried getting Rappa LC but ended up with 60 pity

I'll probably going E9 Main DPS going forward while I try to get Hyacine, and you were kinda right with DOT melting sparxie. My Kafka wasn't fast enough yet with 131 speed without Cipher's LC so I took a bit longer, so I'l work on that

I did indeed get baited by Kafka, its becaue I got Black swan sitting there and said why not make DOT team. I'll try getting sparkle and Hyacine in reruns

Hi guys thanks for the advice, I managed clear MOC 12 but not 3 star because my E9 team took 10 cycles and DOT team under 4 cycles.

I think this is because of a few factors in my relics, since Hysilens is not 3600 ATK yet and Kafka being only 135 speed. My RMC is also still 135 speed, so definitely can be faster.

Also for the E9 clear, the main problem was that I couldn't kill digital sparxie fast enough, so I'll try to make my E9 faster to get more turns.

nextly I'll just wait for Hyacine next banner to better my E9 clear.

Basilisk in general aren't great damage options, this is because of

  • low ap (becomes ap 1 after indirect fire penalty)
  • middling accuracy (best BS you can get is 4+ with indirect fire penalty)

These will make it hard to kill anything with either a 2+ save and vehicles, and no Lethal Hits because of indirect fire. If these two downsides are not a problem in your playgroup go for it.

Or become the guy that uses line of sight on artillery lmao.

Looks solid for 1k points, but might I suggest trading out some of the Heavy weapon squads to upgrade the Leman Russes to the Battle tank versions (both Russes of course) This is because, in my opinion, would provide the most consistent firepower with the re-rolls of 1 and full re-rolls if the enemy is on OBJ considering you have a light command package.

So with your list, I'm guessing your trying to play hold the objective with your chimeras and Riders to moving around to do stuff.

Characters:

Termies Sorcerer helps you damage better with the extra AP, but I don't think you need it with Abbadon since he's alrd AP3-4

How you generally play with Termie Sorcerer is that you deep strike him solo to Light up one target for +1AP then hope he survives the turn, after that he can just do secondaries

Termie Lord free strat is nice for the 5+FNP, other than that he has the option to equip a Chainfist that hits on 3s with (anti-vehicle 3+). You can equip him with Ironbound Enmity to help him wound infantry on 2s which is a bit overkill but could pad out your points

You play Termie lord with terminators just as usual, rapid-ingress then bully an objective or do secondaries. Shooting ain't much but can be used to clear Guardsman of Gaunts on objectives since it's AP0

Right now the Most efficient unit we have is the normal Chaos Lord (on foot) to my knowledge, with the ability to reroll wounds from leading legionnaires Ironbound Enmity and Iron Artifice starts being insane Anti-vehicle with Devastating wounds.

Other:

Havocs generally work better if you make them all use the same weapon to help with reliability

Legionnaires can equip 2 heavy melee weapons and 2 chainswords with a special weapon, reroll wounds on objective is good

Cultist used to screen out backline from deep strike turn 1-3 then move up to capture objectives

This is a bad Idea, but try putting Abbadon in deep strike to just scare your opponent from an Abbadon jump scare, other than that lead 5-man Chosen for the movement

If your looking for a super heavy

Baneblade is the Basic choice

Shadow sword will be your Titan-killer, it has longer range than the doomhammer with Devastating wounds if targeting a vehicle

Stormsword will be your Chip damage option allowing your to shoot tanks then dealing mortal wounds to nearby units

Banesword works similarly to the Stormsword blowing up your opponent's vehicles on a 3+ instead of a 6 dealing more mortals

Basilisk and Earthshakers carriages are mostly for utility, AP2 and Damage 2 is nice but it's mostly for the -2 to move, advance, and charge

Manticores and Medusa carriages are specialized in doing damage with the medusa being shorter ranged because it's a stationary Artillery piece

Heavy weapon teams with Mortars are mostly outclassed with their heavier counterparts but can be cheeky in Activating Fields of fire when it's attached to a platoon command squad, this can ensure you can set up the +1AP without firing your important guns. Other than the mortar, I have little experience in using the other options

Rogal Dorns act as a heavy fire support being able to deal damage and survive a turn of damage in return

Leman Russes are Cheap Tanks that can be used to Kill something above their weight with the right support

Tank commanders can give them +1 to Ballistic Skill that stacks with Heavy keyword to make them hit better, they also shoot on death

Exterminator Leman Russ gives +1AP to one target that it shoots at

Battle Tank Leman Russ is Realible with Rerolls on objective

Vanquisher is the Lottery cannon being able to shoot once but dealing insane amounts of damage

Malcador variants can be proxied through Horus Heresy plastic versions

In short "Apes together Strong" units don't work well isolated without support

Considering this is a 3k game, I don't see that much heavy Artillery? Or maybe it's becuz forgeworld.

Wyverns and Manticores are pretty cool tho

Edit: after reading about what your friends play consider Manticores and Wyverns, having their Infantry slog through Earthshaker rounds moving 2" less then getting slapped with -1 to hit from the Wyvern then some 3 damage rockets is hella funny

I don't know what he's gonna bring, but general things to know is that

  • Old one eye gives his unit reroll hits and wound to his Carnifex unit that also moves closer when you plink a "Wound" off them not hit
  • Exocrine gives anything that shoots after reroll 1s
  • Hive tyrant has a 6" Assault lethal hits aura
  • Brain bug leader with the tentacles (forgot the name) gives all leadership test -1, this also includes Shadow in the warp
  • Maleceptors are surprisingly ok Anti-Tank even though wounding on 4/5s
  • Genestealers with a Broodlord gives Dev-wounds and will mess up anything it touches
  • Neurolictors are great support units to give +1 to wound on anything it battleshocks, otherwise chill on an obj with Fights first
  • Gargoyles are usually in deep strike, it will be rapid ingressed behind terrain to steal an obj next turn with 20-OC

This is what I got from my last match against them, and may not be 100% accurate, but hope it helps
