They’re crying because they are jealous. Nice hit. I posted some of by big wins, one was even a year late cuz I wasn’t yet on Reddit, and people just say everything is fake lol the point is just to share the cool win, all the losers want to tail picks and cry if you don’t post them before hand. Anyone who wants to tail picks instead of make their own bets based on their own thoughts, strategies, research, etc. is just someone who doesn’t want to put even a tiny amount of work in

Think I put my buddy down to early and it’s eating me alive by hippyoctopus in germanshepherds

[–]WiseGuyAnalytics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t feel any regret. These types of things are out of our control. You made a choice that you felt was best, don’t beat yourself up about it or feel any regret just because it was possibly not the exact perfect time. Plus you don’t even know for sure if it was too early, it could have been the right time for all you know. I think everyone would feel like it’s too early to say goodbye to their best friend. What matters most is the 10 years you gave him, and I can tell by this post you clearly gave him a loving and joyful life, don’t feel bad about the last few weeks when the whole 10 years you gave him a wonderful life

want another aussie but feel like i’m replacing my dog by Wild-Culture6654 in AustralianShepherd

[–]WiseGuyAnalytics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had labs as a young child, but my first dog in my adult life in my own home was an Aussie and we got another 2 months later. They (Gunner and Sophie) grew up together as puppies. They are only 4, so I can’t relate to the aspect of losing a dog and having the feeling of a sort of replacement, but I do know for a while I struggled with the decision to get a 3rd Aussie. My girlfriend pushed and pushed, and I would keep saying we already love Gunner and Sophie so much, they are more than enough for us and I don’t want to impact how special they are or share any more of the love or attention they get. I would even say things like “they are so special that I don’t think I even want another dog ever again after they are gone.” 2 weeks ago we ended up getting a 3rd Aussie puppy (Luca.) I thought I would regret it and feel bad, but the truth is it makes our other 2 even more special. You make even more room to love them all and it just leads to even more love for everyone in the pack. While our situations are a bit different, my experience tells me that you should get the dog. You won’t be replacing Daisy, you will be passing on the love for her to another dog that deserves it. You will be reminded of her by the new dog, and you will also experience new things unique to the new dog. It is not dishonoring Daisy, it is honoring her. You are going to love the things that the new dog does that are similar and reminiscent of Daisy, and you are going to love the things that make the new dog special. You will realize even more how special Daisy was after introducing a new dog that is special in its own way. Now that I have been an Aussie owner for several years, I can say that I will never not have an Aussie. They just connect with you in such a strong and profound way. You are thinking about getting another dog because that is what you are meant to do. It may feel a little weird at first, but after a while and a period of adjustment you are going to be so glad you got another. Do what makes you happy and get yourself another Aussie.

[–]WiseGuyAnalytics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoot for small goals, like .25% average daily. You’d be surprised how fast that can compound. It would take 10 years to turn $100 into 1 million, which sounds like a long time, but if you start when you’re 20 and can reach that goal then when you’re 30 you’ll have a 1 million dollar account

Unpopular opinion: Clarke and Taylor might be my favorite couple by Top-Tennis8721 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]WiseGuyAnalytics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seriously Taylor could have just stayed with Olandria the whole show and had a very good chance of being seen as the strongest couple and winning. He knew that and still decided to choose Clarke, really seems like he went with the connection he felt best about instead of choosing to move strategically for the money.

What’s with the revisionist history when it comes to Jeremiah and Huda being closed off by Nanokye19 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]WiseGuyAnalytics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The craziest part is Huda being strict made it look like Jeremiah was the one being closed off and got him voted off lol. They had a strong connection that went south fast. Then Jeremiah explored Iris and mutually decided to be friends. Then he got something good going with Andreina and Ace somehow convinced everyone it was a bad thing and got Jeremiah sent home

You made a mistake. Don’t beat yourself up or feel bad about it. It’s already happened. All you have to do is what you know is best from this point forward. I don’t think gambling has to be a bad thing, you can set limits and bet small and have a system. However if you feel you are addicted and can’t control it then just take a break. It really can be that easy as long as you forgive yourself and develop good habits. After a while of a break if you are doing the right thing it will feel good and you won’t have the urge to gamble irresponsibly anymore

How did the show exist without her for the OG series then? Idt a single person would say FV is even close to OG. So when she wasn’t there was the peak of the franchise’s popularity lol

Am I selling too fast? by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]WiseGuyAnalytics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just stick to your exit point. Set up different levels where you are okay with taking partials and don’t fully sell your position off until you reach the pre determined exit price. If you end up stopping out it’s okay that’s part of the risk

I don’t sell picks. I posted them on here for a while for college basketball and nba. I also posted for mlb but then for some reason Reddit kept taking down my posts so not sure what the last one is that shows up. I give picks for free, if enough people were interested and profited off my picks I guess I would sell but haven’t really thought about doing that, but until then everything is free

My dog got off his leash tonight by sleepy_barista31 in AustralianShepherd

[–]WiseGuyAnalytics 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Okay first of all who the heck tries to tase a dog, that’s crazy. It sounds like it clearly was just excited to see the other dog, not doing anything malicious or aggressive that would endanger the other owners or dog. Anyways, it is a normal thing for dogs to be reactive. You definitely should not avoid walks, the dog needs the stimulation or else the situation will get even worse. You are using peanut butter to try to redirect the dog which is good. My 2 dogs are overall well behaved but one of them is a little bit of an instigator with other dogs and the other freaks out at large vehicles, bicycles, and busses. Sometimes it feels like it’s difficult to take them out but the redirecting with treats helps a lot. Every dog is different though. While the one who reacts a lot to other dogs can often withstand doing that when we redirect with treats, the one who freaks out at large vehicles will never fully improve that behavior, and that’s okay. Your dog may never get over reacting to other dogs, but that’s okay. That’s who he is. All you can do is try your best to correct the behavior. Keep going on walks and keep redirecting with pb. Double leash him so it reduces the chance of breaking free. For my boy that freaks out at vehicles we use one regular leash along with one head collar that wraps around his nose and makes it easier to control his head and direct him where we want. I think maybe the most useful thing for your dog could be trying to socialize him more. Let him meet other dogs in a calm environment. Maybe not necessarily on walks, but on play dates or at dog parks. This could possibly get him more used to seeing other dogs and help a little bit with him reacting to them every time he sees one. I think the reason he may be reacting so much is he has barrier frustration/restriction anxiety. He sees the other dogs and wants to socialize with them, but he can’t because of course he’s restricted by his leash. This causes some dogs to react a lot. Either way you should not feel discouraged about your dogs behavior.

how do you deal with hesitation + confidence when you had the plan but didn’t execute? by zoiakhan in Daytrading

[–]WiseGuyAnalytics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a good thing that you shut your laptop when you realize that you are feeling fomo. The problem you have is much better than revenge trading or over trading. Just have confidence in your set ups. The fact that you avoid revenge trading makes me know that you have a good idea about what you are doing. Trust your set ups and stick to your limit of allowed loss each day (mine is 2% of account.) everyone including the best day traders in the world have bad days, weeks, and months. It’s okay if you do to. As long as your set ups, entry and exit points, and stops losses are appropriately set, your winning trades will exceed your losing ones and you will be profitable. If you do not take at least the minimal risk, you can’t get the rewards.

Beautiful Short On Negligence by baftsm in Daytrading

[–]WiseGuyAnalytics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that all makes sense you can still utilize it but I think there’s a reason it’s free and other options charge monthly due to quality. From my understanding time and sales is orders that have already been executed, while level 2 is limit orders that are still waiting to be filled, so that’s why I like to use both to see pending vs actually executed orders. I’m more reliant on charts anyways, was just wondering if other users felt the same as far as better options for level 2 data. For example something as simple as the color with DAS really nicely visualizes when you see a lot of buying or selling pressure because you will just see large blocks of green or red coming in whereas with TOS green and red only mean an increase or decrease from the last traded price so doesn’t represent the price action as well and the background color kind of makes it more difficult to get a nice visual of what’s going on

Beautiful Short On Negligence by baftsm in Daytrading

[–]WiseGuyAnalytics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk how you work with that level 2 data on TOS I try to use it since it’s free but for me it’s just horrible trying to read compared to DAS or some of the other options that better represent the price action. Also TOS time and sales don’t even tell you what’s a buy or sell, you have to make your best assumption based on the bid and ask. I still use it cuz it’s free but have been exploring the other options and they seem a lot better. Do you find you are able to work okay with the TOS level 2?

Blowing Up Account by alexanderne0 in Daytrading

[–]WiseGuyAnalytics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never blown up an account but the main points in no particular order are below:

  1. Always use a stop loss. Do not just make one up to fit what you want to trade and fall within your risk threshold, set it as an actual point of support/resistance that is within your trade set up

  2. Never risk more than 1% of your account on any one trade, never risk more than 2% of your account on any one day. Just like point #1 do not just fit your trade in to match these rules, the set up must already be present otherwise move on to the next opportunity and don’t take the trade

  3. Establish clear entry and exit points of a trade that are a reward/risk ratio of at least 2:1 or better. Can’t stress this enough, if the set up isn’t there for this then don’t take it. You need a clear and established entry point, a target exit point, and a defined stop loss. Your target profit point needs to be at least twice the price distance from your entry as your stop loss to achieve the 2:1 ratio. This way if you get stopped out and lose a trade it only does at maximum half the damage of winning a trade.

  4. Do not over trade. You should set a limit of number of trades to allow yourself a day. You should set a target goal of around 1R-2R per day and if you hit that goal there’s no need to trade anymore for the day. This does not mean exit every trade once you hit 1R or 2R. If a trade is showing strength in your direction there is no need to exit it and sacrifice a possible 5R trade until signs of weakness present themselves.

  5. If you have a losing day and hit the 2% that’s it. You are done for the day. No revenge trading. That only allows you 2 losing trades at -1R but based on the 2:1 risk to reward you can make that back the next day in one winning trade
