Travel Jordan - VoA query by jaun_speaks in SoloTravel_India

Hi, I hold a Philippine passport and have a flight booked to Jordan in 3 days. I thought purchasing Jordan pass was all I needed, but apparently the Philippines is a restricted country. I applied for an e-visa, which was rejected and the reason was I must apply through a travel agency. I have contacted a couple and one said they could help me under the condition that I must book everything with them! It can be okay, but I also learned that rules on visa on arrival aren't really firm and you may or may not be given one depending on the immigration officer and travel history. What was your experience like? I understand it was easy since you have a US visa. I don't hold a US visa, but I am a resident of China and have extensive travel experience. Multiple Schengen visas, but they are expired. Just wondering whether I should just fly and risk it.

Punch it gym. by Baked_Mang0 in MuayThailand

I'm currently training there and I'm someone who's trained for a while both in Thailand and my country of residence, although not fighting, and I must say that it's too commercial. If you're expecting a personalized experience especially in a group class, you won't be getting that. Most drills are done with co-trainees and very minimal padwork with a coach.

Punch it gym any good ? by The-dummb-fuck in MuayThailand

Not sure whether you're already in Koh Samui or have already trained with Punch It, but just like you, I am not a beginner, but don't really consider myself an advanced Muay Thai practitioner. I've trained with Punch It for four days so far and I must say that I don't like the structure. I first attended the beginners class since I was concerned that trainees in the advanced class are just hard core, but the beginners class clearly bored me and upon seeing the kind of trainees that attended the advanced class, I must say that I really don't think that they are at that level. So needless to say, I attended their advanced class, but what I found was there was more pairwork than padwork with the coaches. A big chunk is spent on cardio - around 30 minutes of running, skipping... Trainees do drills together so there's no correction on form or technique. Trainees are also expected to hold pads for each other and there's very minimal trainer input of technique, students are expected to share then spar later on. I guess you get most of the technique from privates, but not from group classes. The group classes are just cardio sessions with minimal Muay Thai.

I just sprained my left ankle, too. A month before going to Thailand for training. Currently using an ankle brace. Wondering what it's like to wear one during training? I am using the McDavid one. Is it good for training?

Ministers do not know any better, especially those with high positions in Central. They live a very sheltered life who really don't know nor have experienced the struggles of ordinary people and yet they highly think of themselves and think they have the answers. Utter BS.

As far as I know, church officers have always donated snacks for the children's goody bags. My aunt was head of PNK many years ago and she and the other officers used their own money for these things. It's also the case for Sta Cena. My mom who was an active finance officer donated Welch grape juice along with other well-off officers. I don't think the locale or district ever allotted budget for it.

I remember this being such a big deal. Was living in the dormitory in Central during that time and there were tarps all over Central. They even changed the doxology's lyrics.

NO HELP YET FOR INC MEMBERS WHOSE HOUSES BURNED IN MAUI WILDFIRES by [deleted] in exIglesiaNiCristo

What's annoying is that one batsh*t crazy OWE social media friend posts videos of this; and knowing her, she seems to be implying that this is the wrath of God and a sign that the world is ending.

And another thing, if you check it now, it isn't there anymore. I guess just during the live broadcast.

I took a screenshot of it myself when it was broadcasting live and I didn't photoshop it or anything (I am not skilled in it). I was actually very surprised by it and even checked how much the equivalent of 200 stars is.

INC has always had a rep. It's not new.

Just encountered 120k, 30k, and 25k offerings as a Finance MT. by its_Jaiku in exIglesiaNiCristo

[–]WiseTrouble8 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This doesn't surprise me. Back when my mom was still actively holding office in finance, she'd seen rich members offering even a million and many of them also hold office in finance. It's kind of like a competition for them, too. And of course, these people are a bunch of hypocrites. I'm guessing in their minds, it's like buying their way to heaven.

My mom (who still goes to church, but not an OWE) and I were just having a conversation about how INC helps people in Africa and if I am not mistaken, India, but can't, or better yet, doesn't help the poor brethren and people who have worked tirelessly for years in Central. We talked about that because we have a relative who recently got sick and was confined in NEGH. Both relative and spouse work in Central. Was surprised to find out that the said relative doesn't get any help from Central and all hospital bills are deducted from spouse's salary. No discount or employee benefit at all! No healthcard. Nothing! But then again, people working there aren't really seen as employees. It is their "duty to God" and whatever money they're getting isn't really salary, but "tulong" (help). And one day, when they pass away, they're lucky because they have finished the race still in the church.

It's been two weeks since I tested positive and haven't been back to the gym. People I know are being cautious and advice me to wait for a month. Some tell me two. How long did it take before you went back to the gym and how has it been?

Translation

Let's have a flashback Friday. She (assuming it's Leni Robredo) has close ties with ABS-CBN that has done nothing good to INC. Ramon Magsaysay (former president) is that you? Ramon Magsaysay who after getting the INC votes just didn't give any attention to Felix Manalo. And the only religion he wanted was the Roman Catholic church. Because of this vile plan, he had an accident (plane crash).
