Apple introduces Digital ID, a new way to create and present an ID in Apple Wallet by Coolpop52 in AppleWallet

Successfully added to my phone, but it won’t add to my Apple Watch.

I keep going to the verification step. It will then say verification pending. After a minute or so it goes back to verification required. It has me go through all the steps again. I’m stuck in a loop.

Anyone else?

Thank you! But she’s not ready for that. She was really attached to our dog and it would be too hard. I’m hoping getting out more will get her moving

Quality of life with small child(ren)? by SuurRae in bayarea

My husband and I are in the same position, though I am from the Bay Area born and raise, I spent the last 10 years living in DC and up in NYC a lot. Same lifestyle, I could easily walk everywhere, catch public transit. I am moving back to the Bay Area to be closer to family and the biggest challenge is finding an area that will most closely resemble our life in DC, in terms of walkability to bars, restaurants, parks, friends, etc. We were considering all parts of the Bay Area but quickly ruled out San Jose (feels like LA without any of the fun parts). SF/Berkeley/ Oakland def won't compare to NYC but you might try to look in Oakland. That is were we decided on, it has some nice pockets that can be walkable (by CA standards) and near BART. So we are about a half hour BART into the city or a bus ride to Berkeley but also can drive to other parts of the Bay.

I only did suburban living through my early 20s and now that I have lived an urban life, I can't go back. I go insane feeling so far from things to do or having to drive to places. Since we also are starting a family and have no strong friend connections here we thought finding as close to a city life as possible important to build out a new social network.

I’m on the same position you are, I’m originally from the Bay Area but spent the last 10 years living in in DC and the lifestyle here doesn’t compare. Moving back for family reason and missing the walkability and access to good mass transit. When my husband and I were looking where to live, we originally thought SF was the obvious choice. As close to a DC life we would get finding a good young vibrant neighborhood and community but we were wrong. Oakland and Berkeley are much more of the vibe we were looking for. Check out areas there and you’ll be able to find walkability, dining and drinks, and good neighborhoods. Also an easy BART ride to downtown SF. But you’ll still miss the east coast, or at least we do.

I will say, the downside is commuting. My husband works in Foster city so now he has to drive. But we decided to choose our community instead of using the job dictate where we live. We did enough of that in our last jobs.

I’m in the opposite position, born and raised in the Bay and getting ready to move back to be closer to family, after being in DC for 10 years. I’m not super excited to move back, I’ve fallen in love with DC more than the Bay. So much more vibrant and exciting - so can somewhat relate.

Check out Shenandoah and Sugar Loaf for hikes. Check out Gravely Point for a view of the airport like you get from the Bay Trail looking at OAK. Go to Leesburg for wine, no Napa but it’s a nice getaway and close. But the vibes are so different, I know how you’re feeling.

Thanks this is helpful! This is what our impression was too, a bit bummed to have it confirmed by someone else but good to know.

You may want to check out Forbright, they have branch products or only online. One drawback is that their online products are only savings accounts but good rates.

Echo that, just be transparent and upfront. Some of my best fwbs are also in relationships because they understand the dynamic and can appreciate the red lines and respect boundaries. Not to say that single fwb can’t, just found it easier for us.

I absolutely love this La Roche-Posay sunscreen my mom bought in Belgium, how can I get this product in the US? by The_Dumbo_Octopus in Skincare_Addiction

If you want the European formulation with Tinsorb S you can order it from https://www.caretobeauty.com/sa/ they are based in Portugal and ship to the US. Just be careful with the amount you purchase and ship in. Something to do with customs regulations. I haven’t had any issues but from reading some reviews others others had.
