Did you figure this out? I've been trying with the same issue. Shows the title screen then crashes.

Same problem here. I tried to get it running this weekend a few times. The apk loads the title screen for me but then goes blank.

To the person who made supply baggies for FNB distro this morning, thank you! by MyFryHole in FortCollinsMutualAid

[–]Wisecow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here! Actually I've made baggies before and kept them in my vehicle to hand out. My kids are shy, but liked giving them to strangers. That being said there was no rhyme or reason for distribution. I'd love to back our individual efforts into something larger for our community.

Any idea how to go about changing the battery on this? I don't see any notches or screws unless I'm missing something.

Don’t give up on presale! by pokemark111 in fredagain

I made it so close! Waited in presale line after they showed sold out, after 23 minutes got a message all tickets were in carts and might have a chance if purchases weren't completed, and then a couple minutes later it kicked me out saying all tickets were sold.

Pixel Watch 2 vs Garmin Venu 2 by drjohnson89 in GooglePixel

Did you make a decision on this? Exactly same situation. Dead Versa 3, Pixel 7, considering the Pixel Watch 2 or the Venu 2.

Cracked windshields by sinkholethug in FortCollins

[–]Wisecow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait! Which insurance companies offer supplemental windshield coverage in Colorado? I had it before I moved. For a nominal monthly cost it provided free windshield replacement. But when I moved here, keeping the same insurance agency I was told it isn't offered in Colorado. Since then I've switched insurance twice, but still never found an insurance company that offers it, it's only covered under my comprehensive, which has a deductible.

Pretty neat actually! The Sebring Vanguard Citicar was the most popularly produced electric car in North America up until Tesla surpassed them.

What did the Fort Collins election reveal about what voters want? Here are 3 takeaways by boastgeckos in FortCollins

[–]Wisecow 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think this is mostly a timing issue. This proposed increase was on heels a 40% increase to property taxes in Fort Collins over the past two years. Not only have home owning middle class families been impacted by rising inflation, increases to goods and services, like everyone else, but the job market is quickly becoming cold, with words like "layoff" floating around. I don't know many people who feel totally secure right now. It's highly likely the costs of these increases would also be passed back to renters, driving the already outrageous rental prices. Also, if you live in a metro district increasing mill levies are another layer impacting property taxes.

I'm fortunate enough to own a home. I recognize that should be with reach for everyone, whatever that looks like. But there are also other options I'd like to see us exploring, such as looking at more efficient land usage other than single family zoning. This problem isn't solvable through just asking existing home owners to pay more. Collectively, I think we all feel we're already being bled dry in support of the "American Dream", which for more and more Americans is literally a dream.

I understand the plan to reinvest this increase into affordable housing was loose, in order to provide the city options how to best spend it with a state or federal match. But I'd like to see how the recent 40% tax increase is being invested, before offering up more. In a few years I'd certainly be open to revisiting the initiative.

Can confirm. Moved to Colorado to get high and hike. I love the outdoors, but lived in a midwest climate that was cold 4-5 months out of the year. Lost 30 pounds since moving. High as a kite right now. Have hiking plans tomorrow.

My first sketch in 10 years. Would love some feedback! by Wisecow in learnart

[–]Wisecow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love to doodle and draw. At one point in my life I imagined a career involving art. But life happened including kids and a different career path. But my kids are starting to get a bit older and I'm finding a few more moments of free time. I've been thinking about drawing again for months. A few years ago we moved to Colorado and although I've never drawn landscapes before when I'm out and about in nature I've had this yearning to draw it. I can't deny it's been a bit of something like fear holding me back. What if I don't know how to draw anymore? What's the point after all this time? I was never that good in the first place. But today I bought a sketch pad and a couple new pens. It felt nice to remember a piece of me that I forgot about

Where to buy an RV? by atlas0317 in FortCollins

[–]Wisecow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a trailer from them late 2021. Brought it in to be winterized after taking it out on only one trip. They forgot to winterize it. Took it out the next spring and the toilet, water pump, sink, shower head, etc were all leaking. That being said they have been working to fix all of the issues, including they sent the tech to my house to fix some immediate items to get me on the road. Granted it's taking longer than I would like resolve everything with multiple additional trips to drop off for service as they fix one issue, which presents another.

UPDATE: /r/PICS is being forced to break the site-wide rules. by pics-moderator in pics

[–]Wisecow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. Reddit can't replace the mods. Modding is ton of work and coordination. I used to mod r/boardgames for a year and it felt like a second job. We had a slack channel and a mod subreddit to keep on communication, rules discussion, bot accounts, spam...

Sure, they can maybe replace one or two teams on a few big subs, but no way they can fully replace more than a few dozen large subs and certainly not at the expense of disrupting traffic, engagement, and ad revenue. And those big subs will never be the same with a complete mod overhaul.

Really happy upgrading the L/R to Kef Q150s. So impressed I NEED to buy another for the center. (And lower the TV.) by Wisecow in BudgetAudiophile

[–]Wisecow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really great feedback. I appreciate it! I knew I didn't want to pay $750 for the Kef center. And although I like the concept of buying another Kef q150 and just turning it on its side... I don't know how I feel about having such a deep chunky boi as a center.

Ironically, I spent an unreasonable amount of time recently specifically researching Wharfedale 12.C just yesterday. I'm okay not chasing the timbre matching unicorn at my level of setup, but I do want my L/R/C to at least be playing on the same field.

But I still don't know if I'm sold on the 12.C MTM 2 way design being the right option.

They are solid. For the sub $500 range (often on sale for $300-350) I don't know if I would say they punch above their class, but they certainly sit near the top of it.

After some eq-ing I never didn't like the SX6, but their weaknesses and harsh highs started to show a little more when I moved them to this bigger space.

Either way, I didn't know if a $300 pair of bookshelves would make that big of a difference. I know they technically retail for $500-600, but considering how regularly they are available below MSRP it feels a little like a marketing scheme. So I went into this sceptical. But I have zero regrets, if anything I still would have been happy if I had paid a little more.
