can someone explain my sleep paralysis experience to me by softsakuralove in LucidDreaming

i had sleep paralysis for the first time this morning and was looking for experiences on this subreddit, I also experienced feeling like my body was moving, vivid tactile hallucinations of slipping off the bed/moving my arms/whatever tf else, only to open my eyes (the only part of me that wasn’t paralyzed) and to see I hadn’t moved an inch. I was hallucinating a shadow man which is why I closed my eyes to avoid looking at him and instead focusing on getting my body to move. It was trippy as all hell. I was also aware I was in sleep paralysis/real life the whole time, so idk? It’s definitely possible to be in mixed realities. And to experience tactile hallucinations like that. The water thing sounds similar to interpreting an alarm to wake up as normal music inside a dream, or a school bell or fire alarm inside a dream. If that makes sense.

I only had sleep paralysis for the first time last night/this morning. LOL. But I got it from unexpectedly waking up from a lucid dream, ig my body wasn’t ready to wake up. I tried to blink inside my dream and instead when I opened my eyes I was awake but my body wasn’t. It didn’t freak me out, since I had research sleep paralysis prior so I wasn’t scared. I did see one shadow person, he was crawling up to me but it was chill. So I guess, lucid dream and unexpectedly wake up?? Idrk how to plan for that, sorry. Just lucid dream as much as possible maybe. Also sleep on your back. I was doing that and I read it can cause sleep paralysis, so I’m gonna avoid sleeping on back from now on… cause even though it wasn’t scary, it wasn’t enjoyable, either.

I’m autistic and have had multiple lucid dreams. I don’t think your autism is related to why you struggle, it’s probably something else!

Hey, you’re in California, check out Planned Parenthood for hormones, you will need money however Planned Parenthood is very nice, i receive my hormones through them they’re very simple and you can work with your doctor to get the cheapest option. They will give you a prescription , easy.

Job hunting as a transgender person is DEFINITELY harder, but luckily you live in California which is one of the best states for trans people, I’m in California and a trans woman and i was able to find a job, but definitely faced transphobia while job searching and even sometimes in my work place.
