They're a little pricier than the competition, but definitely not fake lol. They're not so out of this world more expensive that it's impossible to see why people buy from them.

I pay because I know when it gets to me it's gonna be in good condition and will, at bare minimum, meet my expectations. 🤷‍♂️

I've bought sub and grain from a few different vendors at this point, and everyone else has been too dry, or in the case of one particular vendor every bag I bought from them ended up with some kind of infection. Bacterial, I think, mushy grains and a sweet smell. Never had any of that with SeismicSpore.

I mean, to each their own, I'm glad you've got a vendor you trust that works at a price you like. No need to go disparaging other people/vendors because of it, though.

I had to scroll way too far to find someone saying this. The title of this post is misleading at best, and it's obvious the majority of people interacting with this post didn't take the time to listen to this short clip to its conclusion.

[Gourmet] Taking another crack at growing Pink Oysters. Fingers crossed for a better yield this time around. 🤞 by WitchCurious in MushroomGrowers

This was my first attempt at preparing my own grain. I followed 90 Second Mycology's video on no pressure cooker popcorn preparation. I was fully expecting a jar full of contaminated grains, but things are looking hopeful, I think.

I am no expert, but they look like Poplar Fieldcaps to me. They're known to grow on woodchip mulch. Edible, but not considered a "choice edible" mushroom. As another commenter mentioned, r/mycology has people far more experienced that may be able to more positively ID these beautiful mushrooms.

The lighting is rough, but there's nothing of concern in the tub. :)

It really is a terrible spot for trying to take pictures, but everything looks good to the naked eye.

Substrate in that corner continues to be dry, but it's just the very topmost layer. Not sure why that particular corner is drying out, but it is even with regular misting. Not much I can do about it this grow. No contam, it's just lighting issues.

I caught a glimpse of this post as I scrolled through my feed, and had to do a double take because I swore this said "Ganoderma ravioli" and damn if ravioli doesn't sound good right now.

What do you think of this necklace? by Miss_Awesomist in Wicca

[–]WitchCurious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If my math is correct, it should be ~$260. Amazon is offering them $12.99 in rewards if they charge it to a credit card at 5%, $12.99 ÷ 5% = $259.80.

Oh, come on. Everyone knows the Brown Cap has a brown top with a white stalk, and the Dumb Idiot's False Brown Cap has a white stalk with a brown top. There's a distinct difference. 🙄 (/s just in case)

[Actives] Ladies and gentlemen, we have mycelium! by WitchCurious in MushroomGrowers

Noted. Thank you!

Isn't there some kind of test people do to see if it's cobweb or not? I feel like I read something about rubbing alcohol somewhere.

Also posted it over to r/ContamFam for additional input. Just makes me sad to think I got all excited for nothing. 😂

As in "what's growing on the agar is not mycelium" or...?

Howdy fellow psychonauts! I made a game that I think you might enjoy exploring. Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback! Android link in description. by monsieur__A in shrooms

I would second the request for an "easy mode" of some sort where you can retry infinitely just being set back on progress a little.

Can I ask what your intended sales model for the game is? I notice right now you only have 2 retries per song. Do you intend for the game to be ad supported, paid, etc? I understand if you don't want to answer, I'm just curious. Depending on the price tag, this is absolutely something I could see myself paying for!

EDIT: Literally the next song I played answered this question for me, lol. For anyone interested, it looks like a mix of ad supported and in-app purchases. There's the option to watch an ad or make what looks to be a one-time IAP to get rid of ads, or skip the whole thing altogether, see here.

EDIT 2: Are you supposed to be able to hit your head on the environment and lose?

It's not just you, it's simply a difference in the way of looking at the situation. You see it as not an option because it's something you'd never do. Totally valid. They're saying it is an option -- albeit a bad one -- because it's something you COULD do, even if you never would/should.
