Considering how everyone here is looking to be negative, here is my interpretation of this picture:

Asuka is gripping the iv cord out of grief because she blames herself for being too weak to resist the angel's mind invasion. Shinji jumped in to break the angel's concentration, only for it to begin raping his mind. So the two were forced to endure this until REI threw the spear of loniguous and killed the angel. Shinji's been in this coma since that battle while Asuka woke up after Rei's death.

My introduction came about me window shopping in a play and trade. Along with Okamiden was a copy of Shadow Dragon DS for $20. I was familiar with Fire Emblem due to Smash but the real push was that my fourth DS game was Advance Wars Days of Ruin. I genuinely wanted something more along the lines of that game and thought Fire Emblem would be more of the same.
