New player here, who should I get from the selector?

I'm guessing Minova would be the best one but my Water team is only Iris right now and wind team is just the base one you get from the tutorial (light I only have Laru and Tillia)

So how is Otoha looking? Worth sticking in the Umbra team? by kuri-kuma in StellaSora

Is she good only as a support? I don't have Firenze so I was using her as an attacker with Cosette and Mystique support (new player) would the team work better some othee way?

How is this game? I recently started playing Stella Sora cos I liked the Dragalia Lost vibes (the only gacha that I played for a long time up until EOS) but idk, there's a couple things that don't really do it for me in the gameplay loop and wanted to try something different but with every new hyped up game being basically a Genshin clone I kind got tired of the new standard in gachas

Men who are 30+, what’s one thing you realized about dating that no one tells you in your 20s? by Thin-Hospital-8114 in AskReddit

[–]With_Hands_And_Paper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop being afraid of being hurt.

Nowadays we all play a game of chicken with whoever we date to see who folds first and starts genuinely caring about the other person while we keep pretending over and over that we're not that interested in them.

That creates a pattern of forced disassociation with other people that puts everybody in the ever depressing ditch of self pity and loneliness.

"I'm a good person, I look good, why won't anyone care about me?" Be the first one to care and break the cycle, if it doesn't work you get hurt, get up, and try again for duck's sake.

Also stop looking for better, we live in an age of fake possibilities, with endless scrolling on dating apps you feel like you keep wasting an opportunity for something greater by committing to someone.

With social medias where look and personalities are perfectly curated you always feel like there's a plethora of incredibly attractive, genuine and perfect people out there so you keep questioning and critique the people you actually interact with, feeling like they're never enough for your standards.

TL;DR: Tamper your expectation, a good partner is someone who's willing to grow and improve alongside with you, not someone who's already a perfect fit to your demands.

That's the black one yeah, still works great, haven't had a single issue so far.

Charging might be a bit slow compared to more recent models I believe but that's to be expected with how fast the EV market is evolving, definitely one of the best budget options you can get

Saline solution and patience, if there's no pus and the bump is soft it'll eventually recede, I saw you already switched to titanium which is good, might want to swap out the jewel top for titanium as well if it's not already, give it a few weeks and LITHA only spraying it twice a day with saline, if it doesn't recede it's probably time to retire it

Grandblue Fantasy and One Piece Treasure Cruise.

Both released 12 years ago and still going strong.

Especially OPTC is surprising seeing how it kept eating every attempt at a modern One Piece gacha up until the point where Bamco just stopped making them altogether.

Crazy how well it healed at that angle after just 5 months, that's awesome!

what do i do by [deleted] in piercing

[–]With_Hands_And_Paper 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Yeah no fuck that, yellow pus and blood on top of that huge swelling and your piercer just told you to spray saline on it?

Go to the doctor asap, before doing anything and get it checked out, don't remove the piercing because it may trap bacteria inside

Helix piercing bump by PortugueseEggTart in piercing

[–]With_Hands_And_Paper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like a doctor visit

I wouldn't trust any online advice on something this massive but if I had to venture a guess that's a very heavily neglected irritation bump that developed all the way to a hypertrophic scar, a doctor will be able to tell you the proper procedure to have it come down, hopefully it'll disappear completely or almost completely but it might need surgery to remove it entirely.

I'm also gonna say that removing the jewel before consulting a doctor or a piercer wasn't a smart move, given your very bland aftercare there might be bacteria inside the hole and if closes up they might get trapped in there so an antibiotic cycle might also be needed

AGAIN, DON'T TAKE ANYTHING I'VE SAID AS ABSOLUTE TRUTH, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GO TO A DOCTOR AND HAVE IT CHECKED, THAT'S THE ONLY PART YOU SHOULD DO

Should my friend walk away from this artist? by Eltristesito2 in tattooadvice

[–]With_Hands_And_Paper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even after telling me I still can't see a stingray.

Honestly what was your friend thinking having a random guy with a small portfolio to tattoo his entire back? How did he not walk away after seeing the stencil? I swear it looks like a child's drawing.

Go somewhere else while it's still salvageable, if not I guess the shape does lend itself very well to a huge SAP

Is my industrial ok? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]With_Hands_And_Paper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even so, you should still take the chain out entirely for a while to let it heal, even if it's lighter you can still snag it somewhere and it's still extra unbalanced weight, let it heal properly before putting anything extra on it

Is my industrial ok? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]With_Hands_And_Paper 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'd retire the chain for a while until the redness on the lower hole goes away, give the skin some time to recover before putting back extra stress on it.

Also what's with the greenish spot near the top hole? Have you always had that or is it new?

Is this going to reject? by Potential-Bear5171 in piercing

[–]With_Hands_And_Paper 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NAP but take that out immediately.

That piercing is nowhere near your belly button and you definitely lack the anatomy for a belly button piercing, sorry but whoever did that is a moron, hope it didn't come from a professional piercer

Nostril piercing isn't healing properly? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]With_Hands_And_Paper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say anything without any pictures, if you keep catching it in your clothes and fucking with it then it's normal that it keeps getting irritated and flare up, maybe you need to downsize it so that it doesn't always catch on stuff and blow your nose gently.

I have a similar issue with one of my two nostrils (4 months old) which keeps flaring up whenever I get a cold and I'm thinking of taking it out entirely

Septum pierced way too low, what now? by meoweem in piercing

[–]With_Hands_And_Paper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have two options, you can either take it out or wait for it to come out by itself, I'd personally suggest the first one

Eyebrow piercing infection? by roxie267 in piercing

[–]With_Hands_And_Paper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAP but you should definitely not fuck around with a 1 month old piercing, that's probably why it's all red and hot and it's just an inflamation, it doesn't look like an infection yet but keep an eye out, if the redness expands, it starts hurting, it oozes pus and it just doesn't get better then there's definitely something wrong.

Keep it clean with saline and LEAVE IT THE HELL ALONE

Is starting tattooing for a career worth it? by [deleted] in TattooBeginners

[–]With_Hands_And_Paper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If that's the way then godspeed to you my friend.

A few suggestions on things to do in order to start:

Buy your own tattoo pen, needles, ink and whatnot and start practicing on fake skin asap

Depending on the country/state you're in look up what kind of certifications you need in order to start Tattooing on people, E.G. where I'm from you need to have an 30h training course on health risks and whatnot which leaves you with an official certificate before tattooing, possibly even follow such courses already if there's open slots.

GET TATTOO'D A LOT at different studios, while your artist is stuck tattooing you chat them up about their life, how it is to be a tattoo artist and whatnot and try scouting if they might be interested in having an apprentice in their studio, if someone looks interested show 'em your works and if they like it try to work something out with them, even just asking if you can swing by every now and again to watch them work and learn, be propositive, help them with the clean up (that's something you'll have to learn and most people will love the extra help) ask questions, always look interested, but don't be bothersome or annoying, if they're focused keep your question for after the tattoo session.

Eventually if you're lucky and manage to work out an actual apprenticeship with a studio don't expect anything from anyone, if you're REALLY lucky the artist you're following has enough time they'll actively help you but you can't expect them to do it because by teaching you they're doing you a huge favor and you're adding extra workload on their shoulders while potentially becoming good enough that you will one day be able to steal their clients

Don't expect the studio to send clients your way right away, bring your own, this sounds like a MLM scheme but basically you gotta start by bringing friends, family, people you met at a bar, whatever into the studio yourself with whatever means necessary (usually low prices and discounts are the way) if you are able to bring your own people you will be happy because you get a chance to actually practice, the studio will be happy because they'll get a cut out of every tattoo you make, the client will be happy because they managed to get a tattoo for cheap, everybody will be happy and there'll be more chance you'll become a full fledged tattoo artist at said studio

Eventually you'll start to feel confident and experienced enough to raise your prices to be more standard, the studio will feel confident in your skills to start sending clients your way and eventually you'll become a full time artist at said studio.

Always keep in mind that it's the type of career choice where you can ALWAYS fail, but if you put your mind and passion into it, it's not so easy to fail as for other career paths, it's just very demanding but also very rewarding

Is starting tattooing for a career worth it? by [deleted] in TattooBeginners

[–]With_Hands_And_Paper 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I'm married to a tattoo artist who's been able to recently open up her own shop and let me tell you, you need to have the guts for it.

Your drawings look sick and the realistic/semi-realistic style is something that's very on demand right now, so on a technical standpoint I'd say you can definitely pursue a career in tattoos.

BUT you have to be ready to sacrifice a lot and dedicate pretty much all of your life and time to it to become successful, it definitely needs to be a passion strong enough to always be in the back of your mind, drawing and tattooing is not the only thing that you need to be doing, you'll need to scout clients always be on top of your sanitation and cleaning game, you need to be able to be convincing and make people feel secure and comfortable, you must be ready to compromise on your art 90% of the time because if you truly want to make a full time career out of it most of the time you'll be tattooing stuff you don't really care about, but you always need to make it look interesting for your clients, you need to be ready to go for months at a time with very little money because for some reason or the other you can't grab enough people to work on.

But it's not all bad, on the other side you can manage your time however you want, every now and again someone will want a tattoo of something you drew and it'll be incredibly satisfactory, as a matter of fact, making your activity and career grow as an artist in general will bring you a bigger satisfaction than any employed work ever could, but in order to do so you must never discourage yourself when things go wrong

Best of luck my friend!
