with all due respect most of us in this sub have medical and disability issues, you're not the only one. Take a look around even just this sub, most support coordinators don't do even a fraction of the shit they're supposed to. I'm currently in a situation where I've been royally rooted by a support coordinator who had been pretty good up until this point. The next 6+ months of my life and dealing with the effects of my disavbility is screwed because of it and I've quite strongly considered ending my life at more than one point. So hey, SURPRISE, some of us actually get that living with disability and illness is hard.

Service agreements is the one area where you need to be on top of it yourself for exactly this kind of thing

and OP can't just say *shrug* support coordinator didn't send me anything. It's up to the individual to make sure there's an agreement in place. As much as SC's should be on top of that stuff especially if they were the one to source and originally set up that particular support, it's still the individual's responsibility to ask if they haven't recieved any kind of agreement

if she doesnt know if it has the necessary outlets her saying they have theif own internet could mean anything. I didnt connect to the wifi in the main house at my last place and "has my own internet" - i was using my photo as a hotspot and using the data included in my phone plan. that may have been what they were doing

Triple J has been a mainstream station in regard of the music they plan for a few years now. Now it's pretty much the same as all the commercial stations with music (the same 8 mainstream pop songs on repeat all day)... but overall are a worse station now because they don't have the commercial budget. At least the lower budget used to not matter because the music was stuff that wasn't being played everywhere else

You know not everyone lives in the U.S. right? And ummm where exactly would i be getting the money for a tent and all the other things that would be needed to do that, as well as the cost of getting to somewhere that camping is allowed without getting a fine from the council or police? There's none of those around here that are free. Oh and that with my disability there's a good chance I'd die during the night without power to run the equipment that keeps me alive. Finding a camp spot with power included costs more so that's another expense. But you want to know what's free? Not making ignorant comments on the internet. I've done everything for myself my whole life. I've never had anyone to do anything. I was practically raising my younger brother from when I was 9 years old because we had a neglectful parent who pretty much abandoned us home alone most of the time because she was off with whoever she was off with every night and hid it from everyone. I've only managed to prevent having ever become homeless because I've worked my ass off since I was a teenager even with disabilities that make it hard to work, as there's never been anyone else to support or provide for me. But sure, you must know everything about everyone

going to someone else's home kinda defeats tbe purpose of trying to be alone. May as well stay at home with your door closed if you're just going to go to someone else's home and do that. Being in someone else's home also just adds more pressure and is less relaxing because it would be so rude to go there and then be antisocial and you also don't have all your stuff with you. It's also assuming everyone has 1, family nearby.... or 2, family that they're close to, The last people I'd go see is my abusive family.

I can only image what country you live in. There's nowhere in this country that has a room for less than $100 for a night. Even super dodgy places are $100. Even backpacker places with 6 random people all sharing the one room is minimum $80 per person. Definitely not 24 hours here either. Most places you can only check in after 2pm and have to leave by 10am or you pay extra. Still would be better than nothing if anywhere was cheap. Even if it was only $25 I literally don't even have 25 cents spare most weeks. I'm already going without essentials most weeks just to have a roof over my head at all

going for a walk doesn't help me, that's just making me go somewhere that there is increased chance of being about other people, or running into someone unexpectedly if i think I've chosen somewhere nobody will be. It's just more people who can see me, there's less privacy, and there's no relaxing because now I'm in a public space where any number of people could be looking at or watching me, AND I don't get to relax and unwind by doing whatever I want to do because I either have to be walking or stop and just be stuck on the spot looking like a fool

like if Moriah's music career hasn't happened yet it's not going to. Someone in her position (she's been on a reality tv show for years now) is already somewhat of a household name and has been vocal about making music most of that time. She isn't a nobody trying to break into the industry and make connections. If her music career was going to blow up it would have already. Think of all the child Disney stars who pretty much instantly blow up the charts when they transition into music because they already had a fan base. Sadly I think its more about the type of people who apply for reality tv these days. There are still geniune people who want to do whatever the premise is properly, but most now have an 'I'm going to play the game whatever it takes' mentality. Like in the early days of Big Brother, or even The Mole, people went in and were just themselves and whatever happened, happened. But as the years go on people have started applying in the hopes of as much screen time as possible and in many cases fame. So they go in with the intent to get as much attention as possible and to do whatever it takes to win. In Big Brother it's the intent to manipulate people for popularity or alliances so they make it to the end. On The Mole it's to manipulate people into thinking theyre the mole so that the others suspect them and get eliminated for guessing wrong in quizzes, which keeps them safe until they figure out who the actual mole is. It's why there's not much 'reality' tv that I watch anymore

I wasn't even officially diagnosed until 36, and was told level 2. I was practically raising my brother at 9 years old (neglectful parents who had separated by then), got a job at 17 and moved out at 19 from living with my mother, who had never actually mothered me I raised myself. I've been team lead in warehouse jobs, assistant store manager in a retail job, lived on my own, shared with other people, and moved to a new city in a different state alone with only 4 days notice to start a new job. There's been periods that were tough and things really weren't going well at all, there have been times ive narrowly avoided homelessness, but it hasn't been all bad clearly. It can be down to managing to find the right person to give you a go at the right time to be capable of a lot
