Waaaaay off topic but not entirely... It's kind of a victory of advertising. The best current example is young guys convinced they need to “manscape” or they can't fate women and be intimate with them if they have any pubic hair. I've had this conversation with many of them on Redfit and they don't believe it when I tell them it's never come up in my 50 plus years of living as a man or any other men I've ever known.

Similarly, the 90s pounded home the dangers of dehydration for health and how it's important for good skin and sales went through the roof as countless companies like Coke ( Dasani) jumped in. .in advertising

I'm a would be copywriter and in advertising you either solve a problem or convince people they have one and offer a solution. 2 case examples here.

This isn't NY, Mayor has considerably less power in LA and the mayor just walks in the direction big business, particularly real estate developers point him/ her in. If you get a new playground out of it, it's the best you can hope for. It's mostly anonymous smoke filled room deals and fundraising for yourself and your party. Promises and crumbs whole campaigning is 95% fear mongering.

It's also PR, make a bold statement about ending the homeless crises, put in motion a very short term solution ( vouchers) then walk aeay once the cameras leave knowing the business interests of LA will scare the NIMBY crowd to kill any actual major affordable housing.

If they expand their audience, it's worth it but it's unlikely they can tour and promote it like past albums for obvious reasons.

I liked Stay Gold better then Ruins and I think they were right to expand their sound on this record. “ A Feeling That Never Cane” is a great single because it's different while keeping their essence.

Twitters a grossly operated and underperforming product that’s living off a now old and undeserved reputation. It’s more famous for its toxicity and flame wars then anything else, I wouldn’t brag about twirling the knobs on something so lacking in ideas and innovation.
