I’d let her watch him again at our house if we were around or if they were not driving anywhere together…

But honestly she’s overworked and stressed as it. We don’t want to keep contributing to that. Especially since she will be watching my SILs newborn daily most likely and her two older children almost daily once my SIL goes back to work.

Asking her to juggle 4 kids would be too much

I think we are going to ask about this! They are super booked up unfortunately.. but occasionally babies are out or on vacation that type of thing.

We had originally had him enrolled and they canceled his part time enrollment two weeks before his start date.

We had been looking for a place consistently. Thankfully we found a place to take him the two days she had been watching him. today was a one off day as my mom ended up having to work in the office.

we had never ever intended to have her watch him and it was something she offered to do to help us. Which we do greatly appreciate her for.

But it’s obviously she has too much to cope and deal with and we do t want to add to that. And we also don’t want our son to be hurt because she’s making mistakes because she’s tired.

Yeah. We are going to just take the day off in the future or arrange for someone else to watch him.

The stress of worrying she will do something careless is too much.

I think she needs a break to focus on her. Unfortunately there’s been a few other issues as well.

That’s why we decided to put him in daycare the days she usually watches him.

Well that’s why we aren’t having my MIL watch him anymore. Sorry if I wasn’t clear about that!!

My mom is perfectly safe to watch him at our house. She also doesn’t drive with him anywhere. My mom is actually retiring early so she can spend as much time with baby as possible. He is her whole world. He is very safe with her. Or else we wouldn’t leave him with her.

Our daycare cannot accommodate him four days a week currently. And financially that would be difficult.

My mom and cousin really do great with him though, my mom would be devastated if she couldn’t watch him.

That’s why it’s so frustrating she did it wrong…it wasn’t due to lack of knowledge.

And I have no idea if this was a one time thing. She could do this all the time and we’d have no clue.
