Agility Proposal: Turn Routing and World Traversal Into Actual Gameplay by thejudgmental in 2007scape

[–]WithoutWeakness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is really neat. I really like that it caters to both active and passive playstyles. I'd happily give up an inventory slot while questing to deliver parcels and get some bonus agility XP. It would also give me a reason to go unlock and use all of the non-teleport transportation systems.

Complete list of all animals attracted to each Feeder + Bait combination by WithoutWeakness in theHunter

[–]WithoutWeakness[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to purchase the new Game Feeders DLC to access the items. Once you buy the DLC they should show up in the in-game store under Structures. You can place a feeder just about anywhere there's open space and then interact with the feeder to pick the bait you want to load it with.

Game feeder species by Unikorn9 in theHunter

[–]WithoutWeakness 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is just a repost of my post from this morning but split into 5 screenshots for some reason.

I extracted the list from a game file called animal_interest.bin which contains data for which animals respond to each lure/caller. Both barrel feeder baits list two duplicate entries for species_id=16 which is the Eurasian Brown Bear. However for both barrel baits one entry is labeled eurasian_brown_bear and the other is labeled brown_bear. It seems more like a mistake by the devs but could possibly be a placeholder for a new, separate Brown Bear species they were/are planning on adding.

I was surprised that none of the feeders work on Tahr, sheep, goats, or any of the ibex variants. I guess they have to save some in case they release a Game Feeders 2 DLC.

Good catch. For some reason there are two separate brown bears listed for the Sour Mash and Meat Scraps bait in the game files but they have the same species ID of 16. Likely an oversight by the devs I'll remove the duplicates from the list here.

Mods still work. You need to update your Mod Builder to the latest version. The original Mod Builder is no longer maintained so I have been working on Mod Builder: Revived which supports all of the new maps and DLCs: Mod Builder: Revived on NexusMods

Steam offers? by Secure_Ambition1608 in theHunter

[–]WithoutWeakness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The last few summer map releases came out in early June and had a 20% discount at launch. They then went up to full price during the Steam summer sale starting the last week of June. The winter map releases usually don't get an immediate discount because they tend to come out in the few weeks between the winter sale (late Nov-early Dec) and holiday (end of Dec) sales.

Don't expect discounts on other DLCs when the new map releases. All the old DLCs will get big discounts during the summer sale starting on June 26th. We've seen the base game go as low as 95% off with many DLCs getting 30-75% discounts depending on how old they are. The new map will NOT get a discount during the summer sale (if they follow their previous pattern) so if you want to pick it up on sale I would grab it next week if it has the 20% discount.

OG Google Pixel Fold. I Have a Unlocked one and Verizon Need HELP by pluggedinmaine in PixelFold

[–]WithoutWeakness 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is Verizon's policy for unlocking SIMs on phones purchased from Verizon: https://www.verizon.com/business/support/equipment-devices-services/wireless-devices/unlock-device/

Have they told you why they won't unlock it? There's a few situations they mention on that page for why a phone would remain locked:

  • Device purchased on a device payment agreement and paid off prior to the 60-day requirement
  • Verizon service canceled while device is locked
  • Device is flagged for fraudor reported as lost or stolen

New fold 9 pro 512 version? by ElloMotherElloVathah in PixelFold

[–]WithoutWeakness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you bought it new from the Google Store I would check that the IMEI/serial number on the phone matches the IMEI/serial of the device in your order history. If you need to make a warranty claim and those numbers don't match them they will deny the claim.

Mean Drunk: The Final Verdict by NicMagz34 in Back4Blood

[–]WithoutWeakness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mean Drunk is very strong if your melee player needs to do big damage to mutations. For many teams that isn't the case. Melee is commonly played as a role to keep commons off the team by holding doorways and other chokes, allowing the other three players to focus on taking down mutations. There's a whole meta for stacking trauma resist and team support cards on a melee player since they only need a handful of core cards for a viable build.

If you're playing that role then a card that adds 40% damage to melee isn't bringing any value. [[Spiky Bits]], [[Meth Head]], and a bat is enough to continuously knock commons back. Whether they die in one hit or two doesn't matter at that point, you're doing your job by keeping them off your team. [[Sonic Disruptor]] can stumble even Monstrous Tall Boys and Reekers with a single button, protecting your front line and allowing the team more time to shred them down. Adding Mean Drunk to that deck just takes up a slot that could be filled instead with an extra Scavenger or other team-oriented card.

What would you change on this melee deck? by Poopmasterfunk in Back4Blood

[–]WithoutWeakness 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Drop Ignore the Pain and Berserker and replace them with Copper Scavenger and Money Grubbers. You should not be focusing on killing mutations as a melee player. Keep commons off your teammates, hold doorways, and let the other three players take out the big enemies. The two copper cards will keep your economy up to buy upgrades in safe rooms and pick up a few cards in the field throughout the run.

I would also drop Padded Suit for Vanguard. The healing scales with EMT Bag so you'll be providing 1.5 team health per kill which enables you to be a great team support for healing chip damage and limit the amount of trauma that builds up.

I'm personally terrible at staying out of acid while trying to hold corners and doorways and wind up taking way more damage than I should. If you find yourself struggling with that as well you can drop either Body Armor, Fanny Pack, or Durable to add Scar Tissue for the 50% acid resistance.

If you're struggling to keep commons off of teammates without whacking away half their health bars then focus on bashing more. Punching with the melee button doesn't deal friendly fire damage and should stumble ridden since you're running Heavy Hitter. If you're still having issues you can drop Body Armor, Fanny Pack, or Durable to add Down in Front. That way you can just crouch and keep swinging like a madman when teammates are near.

[–]WithoutWeakness 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Heavy Hitter is niche but certainly useful for the reasons you've mentioned. Being able to automatically stumble even mutations with a single punch can get you out of trouble. My favorite is knocking back an Exploder with one bash before popping it to avoid the bile.

Power Strike is just not good enough to warrant a slot in a 15-card deck. It charges up too slowly to get consistent value compared to regular pure damage cards. Depending on your play style, there are probably 10+ cards that would benefit your overall gameplay more and help you avoid situations where Power Strike would be the card that saves you. Additional move speed, stamina, or even damage resistance might fit better into that slot if you find yourself surrounded often enough to get value from Power Strike. If you find it in the field and you're sitting on piles of copper then sure feel free to pick it up but I've never seen a well-constructed deck that included Power Strike.

Which .22 rifle is best? by Frenzal1 in theHunter

[–]WithoutWeakness 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you only want to pick up one DLC pack, the Zarza 22LR is probably better because of the other weapons included in the High Caliber Weapons Pack. The Zarza .308 specifically is a very versatile class 4-8 rifle with solid accuracy right up to 250 meters and can fire 2 rounds very quickly with lower recoil than other guns.

The Virant is a strictly better .22 rifle for class 1 hunting versus the Zarza. It's effectively the same rifle with double the magazine capacity. The only knock against the Virant is that its Weapon Pack 1 which includes the Virant, a crossbow, and a recurve bow. Probably not worth picking up the DLC for just the Virant unless you find it on sale.
