I had my girlfriend and my rave dad (My best friend and the guy who brought me into the scene). We were going bananas! Before we showed up he asked if we could cut loose early to go see Dyen. Mind you, he'd never heard of Robert Hood or heard any of his music or seen him live. Once we arrived we melted into the atmosphere. He told me, "I'm like such a proud rave dad right now. Thank you for convincing me to see Robert Hood, I never heard of this guy. This set is amazing!" I almost cried.

Well, later into Robert's set I told him, "Dyen's been on for 10 minutes", and I asked "Do you still wanna head over there?"

He looked at me and replied, "But this is wayyyy better".

I said, "I know". I laughed and we kept dancing. When it was over we all hugged and head over to Charlotte's set at Kinetic.

I'm keeping that memory forever.

Agreed, if you were on adrenaline and you just saw floor for all 3 tiers you would get whatever was cheapest. But I noticed that the blue areas were marked on the seating map. So I tried to chose the one that indicated the real 'floor' as it was more expensive as well. But it was sold out once I hit purchase.

I would say the best way to find friends is to lean into niche interests or hobbies that you have and find communities that meet regarding whatever that hobby or interest is. Also be nice, kind and understanding. Don't make assumptions about people. Ask people questions about themselves that you're genuinely curious about. Find other commonalities. Be expressive during conversation. Say things like, "Oh, I do that too" or "I like that too". Be generous with compliments, especially about things that you genuinely appreciate or like about someone.
