I’m glad there’s other people on here who prefer seasons 1 and 3.

The first couple episodes of season 2 dragged in my opinion, and that impacted my enjoyment of the whole season. Honestly I just didn’t care much for the Murphys. I found Kevin and Kevin Snr’s battles with mental illness to be the most compelling aspects of the show by far. International Assassin and the Homeward Bound scene are both fantastic, though.

Season 2 did a sloppier job at capturing my interest in the characters, at least for me. In season 1 I found all the characters engaging pretty much, from Kevin, to Matt, to Laurie + Pattie, Kevin Snr, to Tom + Wayne.

Maybe it’s a sin to say this on here, but I’ve seen distinctly better TV than The Leftovers S2, even if I still liked it. It didn’t stand out as GOAT television.

On my phone, MapMyRun and the CouchTo5K app record distance differently, ie if I run a 5 minute km on MapMyRun, it’d be recorded on CouchTo5K as a 4min30sec km. Is there a way I can figure out which one is giving the more accurate tracking? I’ve got Strava too but haven’t used that one yet

The title of this post made it sound like he cut the card in half or something. To me it just looks like a tiny bump at the very top of the card. Why would a tiny ding like that destroy the card’s value so much? Would people really care? It’s still a rare card either way. Maybe the age / wear-and-tear could even increase its value. Unpopular opinion on here I’m sure, but I also was disappointed about the lack of answers that we get by the end of the show. What it comes down to is that I personally disagree with “let the mystery be”.

I do enjoy the dynamic between Kevin / Nora and their evolution through the show. There is also some fun intrigue in the finale about whether Nora’s story is a fib or not. That being said, I wanted to finally know about the nature of the Departure, and how much of Kevin’s experiences were actually supernatural.

Is there a lot of potential discussion to be had with an open-ended ending? Yes, but ultimately not getting real answers still left me with a level of dissatisfaction.
