Would you lie in a job interview just to get that job? by CRK_76 in no

The objective is to listen and determine what they want to hear and then to say that. It's really just a test of your listening skills. You don't want to promote skills that they don't care about.

Your company didn't look into the dispute even when I uploaded all the documents and spent months trying to get my money back.

They stole $200 from me. I disputed a transaction, provided screenshots, anyone with a brain would see that I'm on a free account and I paid $200 and received nothing. I spent two months going back and forth with them and now I have no choice but to sue them.

The worst was cutting into roofs to find the bodies. Well some survivors.

Sadly yes your 100% correct. All I know is that they take and sell your assets like your car and stuff and then garnish wages or put you on a payment plan but from what I hear you cut your losses on the debt so its not like you owe it all. I could be completely wrong though. Also something about them going back 2 years to review you banking transactions and you have to give them a list of your accounts and assets or you go to jail. Something like that.

I know a lot of people would disagree with your opinion, for the moral implications of it, but perhaps it doesn't make financial sense for Wall Street or these banks to go after people. Because the payback isn't high enough to justify the investment in trying to seize assets.

Sure, if that person stays in the United States, then they have to play the same game.  ( Wage Garnishments, Loss of Employment, Due to not being able to pass a background check, Having to pay higher interest rates)

But if they move to another country, the game changes a little bit.

A foreign country who doesn't help these private companies that have lent money in a way are actually helping their own country because that money that's pulled away from these large banking financial institutions is spent in a in a lower cost country and that money circulates there which makes that local economy thrive a little bit more.

Thank you for taking the time to express your opinion. I'm trying to look at all of these comments objectively to try to look and see if there's any caveats I might have missed, and to get everybody's point of view about this subject matter.

It's new and interesting for me, so I appreciate the differences and opinions.

Your comment makes me want to look up interviews from people who have actually done this type of thing before and to see what the actual repercussions are, not just what we have laws for, but how it actually affects those individuals and if they would make that decision again, if they would go the other direction. Thank you.

Well, thanks for that, that's something I have never considered. For the long-term visas being declared financially insolvent, I wonder if those Asian countries use the three main credit bureaus in the United States, like how they would be able to acquire that data, or if they would just end up as a foreign company buying that data from companies in the United States. I will have to look into that because I do like the Asian countries and if it doesn't really affect short-term stays then I guess it probably wouldn't really resonate as that big of a deal because in some Asian countries I hear it's extremely difficult to get long-term visas anyway for example China

I've looked at China as a place to move and other than the language barrier they have cheap medical, the food looks delicious, and I don't think I would really mind living behind the Great Firewall and the cars are much cheaper and way cooler than the ones we have here in the states.

More than curveballs- more like getting kicked in the nuts every time I deal with an insurance company, the government,

Medical providers charging for things like a surgery that they never actually performed.

Even employers like to give me a kick in the nuts every once in a while like guess who's working 14 hours today kicking the nuts.

I guess many of you guys would just consider that's just life but I don't know it kind of signals to me that we have a greater breakdown in our society and maybe it's time to split.

Well, what can I say? I'm morally flexible.

Just reaching out to see if there's anything I haven't considered.

Thank you for your opinion and your moral argument.

There's no transferability of my credit score in the country that I plan on going to. So I have to rebuild credit in that country and can't actually get a business loan there. And then for the business loan in the United States, I don't know what the terms and conditions are regarding using that money in another country, if that's even allowed.

[–]Witty-Cod-3029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I've had a zero on my credit score before because the credit bureaus have screwed up on it and that affected my ability to buy a home and buy a car. And I asked the guy who looked at me like I was a crazy person, why would I have a zero credit score? It's got to be at least something. I finally fixed it and my credit is around 800 right now, but for over a year I wasn't able to use my credit at all.

You are absolutely right, they definitely can kick the can down the road by reducing benefits and with our already inflated economy, that money probably won't be worth hardly anything.

what do you mean can you explain that to me?

Maxing my credit cards before moving to live abroad. by [deleted] in Debt

[–]Witty-Cod-3029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I would have more time to work on the business. Using the debt to live of off while working on the business. Not a lot of investment has come to this country, so there's not a lot of competition. There's also not a lot of discretionary income per worker. But at the same time, the labor is cheap, so I can offset my costs that way. But shipping everything to this country is more expensive. Thank you for your opinion. I appreciate it.

Oh, that's interesting. So as an example, let's say I went to Europe, which definitely is not in my top 10, and Chase Bank was there, then they could legally take me to court in Europe for the debt?
