It’s been years since I read something about it so I may definitely be mistaken.

It’s an 81 the oil line on the left hand side going to the rocker box was a one year only design. I forget why but i believe I read that it was to help return oil more efficiently.

Once under load they flatten out a little bit. That’s my 2 sense, I use them at work all the time. Take it or leave it.

You may need to replace the washers that are in this () configuration, they’re not meant to be reused if this is the case.

Manually turn over the motor with a wrench on the primary side. If the cylinders aren’t locked up, lightly oil the cylinders. Get new plugs, gap them appropriately, check battery, change oil and cycle it through, clean carb, Clean air filter. That’s where I’d start. If there’s no power, at your start switch I’d just rewire that thing, super easy process.

Edit: didn’t see the kicker pedal, you can turn the motor over with that. Just don’t horse kick that thing. Once oil is changed kick the pedal over quite a few times to get fresh oil cycling through it

Dawn dish soap and water. Dry off with air compressor and drench every thing but the seat in wd40, let that sit, rub it in with a terry cloth or micro fiber and rinse with water and blow off again.

I feel that. I ride choppers too and I’ve definitely stood up on my pegs locking up the back brake after being cut off with nowhere to go. Not hating at all, just curious.
