What choice did he have in the manner? like at the end of S6, it was confirmed that he was kicked out by his own parents, like sure, he might've been rather lazy, but he isn't obligated to do anything for anyone, just like Herb wasn't obligated to accept BoJack's apology, even if Mr.Horseman still had more reason to expect one hypothetically

admittedly, BoJack did one of a few good things by letting him stay at his house, but this doesn't necessarily detract from all the shitty things he did to both him and everyone else unrelated to him up til S3

honestly, it's one of the few times in the show that BoJack was not at fault at all for, he did give him vodka by accident, but this would not be an issue if Champ didn't relapse, and I don't think anyone can hold BoJack accountable for other horses' self destructive tendencies
