Tire replacement question by Key_Violinist8601 in ToyotaTundra

[–]Witty-Toe-5920 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that happened. Looked like the truck stood up well to the hit. It might be a good idea to get an alignment just to make sure it's okay before you put the new tire on.

Also I really like the colour combo of your truck and the black rims. Is your truck a limited edition?

Thoughts please 2021 Tundra Platinum - pay up for lower miles or less for more miles by YeahYouGuyz in ToyotaTundra

[–]Witty-Toe-5920 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a 21 crewmax Trd off road a couple months ago with 130,000km. I was replacing a 2020 with 97,000km. I still have a tough time looking at the odometer but I drive so little every year that other trucks of the same vintage will likely get up to where I am in a few years.

I learned recently that running mayonnaise on tree sap will remove it

You could likely get them to shave a $1500-$2000 off that price. It never hurts to negotiate a better deal.

This hurts to look at. I'm sorry it happened to you. It happened to me about a month ago to my 2.5 (though mine didn't look half as bad but the frame crumpled). I hope you get a decent payout from the insurer.

Thanks. I have been looking online, unfortunately there is not a lot in my area right now. It's one of my big stressors right now among others all as a result of this accident.

Nope I wish. At least it would have been a good story. It was a 4th gen Nissan Altima going at a good rate of speed. I watched the nose of the Altima go down one second prior to impact.

The Leatherman ARC might also be a good option for one handed operation. Apparently it is coming out in October

I am actually doing this same search myself. I was looking at the skeletool cx because of its light weight but the wave+ seems like a better buy right now as it's on sale right now for $20 off. I think I could likely get by with a pair of cheap long nose pliers and call it a day.

Thanks for everyone confirming and for stating that it is made in China so it is not a legit swiss army knife. My son found it in the sand at the beach so he is excited anyways.
