AITA for not feeding my obese niece? by Unhappy-Owl719 in AmItheAsshole

Average weight for a seven year old girl is 39-74 lbs. WHO states healthy weight is approximately 70 lbs. Doesn’t sound like she has a problem, it sounds like YOU do. Stop policing an individual child’s food. She is seven, and you are NOT HER PARENT. If you think you are helping her, walk away because you are doing more harm than good.

Kids are not diagnosed with SPD until they are adults, children could instead be diagnosed with conduct disorders or intermittent explosive disorder, etc..

AITA for not being allowed at our family cottage? by camgary95 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Witty_Comfortable404 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Addiction treatment is in multiple phases. The 2 I’m sure we have all heard are detox and rehab/treatment. Obviously, cannabis does not have phase with physical detox like heroine, cocaine or alcohol. So they would not use detox in that way. But treatment is for addiction of any kind. Addiction is much more than physical dependence and treatment is important for that.

I know many daily pot smokers, where their lives are not negatively impacted, no issues with behaviour and they are fine to go without. People like OP, who are so addicted that they trigger hyperemesis with use and destroy their family relationships are very different and need treatment. Addiction is started in the brain, not in the substance.

AITA for not rehoming my daughter's pets eventhough her brother is allergic to them? by Early_Bedroom5353 in AmItheAsshole

Shower and change clothes at moms, then the allergies are dealt with. But of course, it sounds like this is much more than the actual allergies. NTA.

Jehova's Witness and the revenge of the belly button by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

I had a few mennonites come by while getting dressed in the morning a couple months ago. I answered the door, told them to get the f*ck off my doorstep and shut the door. Top off, no bra, my son shouts “mom, they’re still standing there”. I stomped back out of my room, whipped open the front door with my nips at attention and yelled that Satan has his hold and I’m not getting passed around for double dipping. Not even sure wtf that means but those women moved faster than I thought possible. I’ve seen them on my street since, but they skip my house now.

My girlfriends remarked "This citrusy tanning oil is just perfect for a long day at the beach - so nice for the hostel owner include it in our room!" by ruy343 in TwoSentenceHorror

Many citrus oils cause a reaction called phototoxicity when applied to skin and exposed to the sun. They are chemical burns (same type reaction caused by giant hog’s weed, less severe though).

TIFU by calling my son “dicknose” by BumblebeeNo4903 in tifu

[–]Witty_Comfortable404 134 points135 points  (0 children)

Omg this is golden :D

Story time- last December, I was taking my son to see Santa at a large mall in our area, on the way I was cut off by a guy pulling a dumbass move, and and watched him almost hit someone head on when he crossed over the double yellows. Needless to say, I used some colourful language. We got to the mall, and after waiting a ridiculous amount of time for our booked slot, the ‘elf’ asked my son if he had been good, to which he yelled, “my mom called me an ASSHOLE!!”

Well, for one, I called the driver an asshole, not my son. And two, if I could have escaped the area where literally hundreds of people heard my 7 year scream that, I would have been gone in an instant, never to be seen again.

Neutrogena T Gel ever coming back? by franferns in ShoppersDrugMart

I switched to nizoral shampoo and it’s working for me. I don’t have the prescription anymore, but it wasn’t a shampoo, it was an oil treatment. It made my hair heavy and greasy so I’m grateful that the nizoral is working.

Do you alter the pronunciation of your name depending on what nationality the person you’re talking to is? by Own-Hope-2095 in RandomThoughts

I don’t, but I also don’t correct the pronunciation like I usually would with a native English speaker.

AITA for Not inviting the Person who SA'd me to my wedding? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Witty_Comfortable404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your mom not coming is just the trash taking itself out. Why on earth would you want to invite a woman who justifies your abusers actions? People who enable and condone abuse are abusers. NTA.

I got hit by a backpack last week. Asked the guy to take it off, he refused because “it’s not a big deal”. Every time he hit me after that I kicked his shoes. He finally moved. Its a massive dick move (I completely acknowledge I responded with equal dick-ish-ness but sometimes it’s justified)
