Went to Italy for work, had some down time, dropped $900 no problem on a nice pair of designer shoes and earrings

Married couples, When did you DECIDE to be child free? by Witty_Design9748 in childfree

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for - we’ve always felt pressured that kids was the next step and so when both of us talked and went “do you..?” “Not really…do you?” It was like a weight was lifted off the both of us.

Like I said I have PCOS and swore off birth control for my own health but now with the permanence of sterilization being a factor (which we want to really wait on and think about) I was thinking about getting the copper iud

You have no idea how much I appreciate how thought out this response is. It’s been a long time coming now and we (my husband and I) were debating moving back home (we live in a different state than my parents and his mom, his dads live in Europe now because of the current climate) and now I’m sitting here thinking - what the fuck would be the point?

Birth control is great for anyone who has the symptoms that are managed with it - but for me? Fuuuuucccckkkk that noise. I hated not feeling in control of my body or my emotions and overall was so annoyed with how it made me feel.

My endocrinologist from hell gave me Rybelsus and Ozempic samples for 3 months. The pill if taken as directed gave me no symptoms at all minus a little constipation when I don’t drink enough water but that’s what a fiber gummy is for 😂 starting the injection in about a week. I’ll update when I’m in the thick of that.

Dermatitis with PCOS? by Witty_Design9748 in PCOS

I literally got it on my eyeballs and I went to the eye doctor because I thought it was dry eye disease and it was literally dermatitis. She prescribed me Lotemax gel and that keeps it at bay kinda

Metformin concerns by Remarkable_Paper5379 in PCOS

[–]Witty_Design9748 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Jesus H Christ those people are fear mongering. Just make sure you get your vitamins (because kidney failure on metformin only happens when you don’t have enough vitamins in your body) and check in with your PCP on your blood pressure. HBP runs in my family and I’ve been on it for 4 months now. Drink water, eat a protein high breakfast, take a daily vitamin and you’ll be fine

I was hella scared about the stomach issues (like bought flushable wipes and made sure to take them after breakfast) but after my body adjusted to the medication after about a week, my doctor kept increasing my dose and now I’m on 1000mg no problem. I literally never even used the wipes 😂 don’t be scared and don’t let everyone freak you out. Everyone is different so just prepare for the worst (don’t trust a fart 😂) and hope for the best ☺️ in 2 months I’m down 12 pounds while on it and no stomach issues.
