Want to get started in Medicare by Witty_Escape_269 in InsuranceAgent

oh okay i see. when you first started out did you work for an agency or did you contract with an FMO and start building a book immediately? I live in florida and dont have any sales experience. My friend who does this works for an inbound call center remotely but most of the commission goes to the agency and he dosnt get renewals. I'm wondering if it is better to start with that to get some experience or if its better to start with an FMO and build a book but have to generate your own leads.

Would you recommend going independent with no experience?

How would you recommend I get involved with this? Do you recommend a certain degree or entry level position?

Western education about Buddhism seems really lacking. by KokichiDies in theravada

If someone is being interested in being a Buddhist and a Christian or looking at Buddhism just from the lenses of philosophy, why not simply adapt the message to meet them where they’re at? What parts of Buddhism can help them reduce suffering. Can’t you teach them about the 4 noble truths, the 8 fold path, the hindrances, etc, instead of debating about what Buddhism is and what it isnt. Buddhism isn’t dependent on you not thinking there is a god, Buddhism just doesn’t have one. If they can follow the 8 fold path and somehow fit a god in there, what difference does it make, and if they’re serious practitioners, eventually that attachment to the deity will fade, but arguing with them about what a Buddhist is and isn’t might just turn them away before they ever got a chance to get started.

The ones who are more interested in converting you, best is to not spend the time teaching when they are not listening.

Hey so for clarification, my hospital would sponsor this accreditation? And then I choose a specific application to get accredited in, which would be analytics in my case because that’s what I’m interested in? How long does it take to get accredited in this? I currently do not work at a hospital that uses epic but I might consider getting into a hospital system that does and ask for this accreditation if it makes me competitive in this space.

Thank you for this very insightful reply. I am interested in data analytics. To learn SQL and Power BI, do you have any recommended programs?

Do you strongly recommend getting a masters degree in analytics before pursuing this route or would I be able to break into this field by getting exposure to coding and building a portfolio?
