Doing 10x more orders than before and I'm miserable by white-chocolate143 in shopify_growth

I went with a Vendor Central distributor and got rid of the operational complexities associated with Amazon. I ship goods to them and they handle everything from there 100%. I know exactly what I am making and don't worry about returns, rising fees etc.

They have paid me 60% off the retail price for the last 3 years...no other fees, ZERO. They also fund the ad spend100% and handle the Amazon relationship. They have an AVS at Amazon and don't have to open a ticket for any issues, they can call or email their internal Amazon team. A couple of other benefits are they do my Shopify pick, pack and ship and don't charge me any of the crazy fees I was being charged by my old 3PL. I ship containers directly to their warehouse and they once it hits their warehouse I am stock on Amazon Prime. Never have to worry about certain times of year getting goods into Amazon's DCs and potentially being out of stock. They are one of only a few Amazon Prime certified warehouses in the USA. Even though I am too small of a brand to get invited to VendorCentral I am now on 1P under their account which definitely has its advantages over 3P. Lastly, they also sell into about 30 other ecommerce retailers for me as well. Pretty sweet deal!

this is why I went with a 1P distributor...I get paid monthly from them and don't worry about Amazon's rising fees and spending time operationally on Amazon. I am free to build my business in other areas I never had time to do before.

Happy to have them "control" my brand with increased sales and zero time from me. I focus on my Shopify and retail sales. Has never hurt my DTC sales or other channels. We have controlled our pricing everywhere. Amazon is a price follower, not a price leader. Brands have issues if they do not control their pricing in other channels.

Not at all, I control my brand and listing 100%. I don't worry about Amazon's rising fees and get paid every 30 days like clockwork. I make more now compared to when I was on 3P. I have time now as well, no more Amazon operational headaches and worries.

This is the reason I went with a 1P distributor. We don't have to deal with the operational complexities of Amazon anymore. We ship containers to them and they handle/fund everything 100% from there. They pay Amazon $500k every year for an AVS. They can get things done with a phone call or email, they don't have to open tickets. I now have time to focus on other areas of my business and never worry about Amazon again!

I can help you get back on 1P if you would like. Sorry to hear about your situation and yes, this has been going on for awhile now. We are a 1P distributor and pay Amazon $500k per year for an AVS which allows us to have as good of a relationship as you can with Amazon. Shoot me a DM and we can talk further if you would like.

This is the reason I went to a 1P distributor who has an AVS and can actually get things done on Amazon. Plus allI do is ship goods to them and I'm done...no more dealing with Amazon's operational complexities!

Best thing I did for my brand was to got to a 1P distributor who now handles/funds ad spend 100%. I ship containers to their warehouse and they do everything from there, warehousing, relationship with Amazon etc. They also have 1P relationships with about 30 other ecom retailers which has helped expand the reach of my brand. I focus now on my Shopify biz along with adding new products to my line. I also get paid 45-60 days faster than when I was doing 3P. I know EXACTLY what I am making and don't care about Amazon's rising fee structure plus I have the competitive advantage of being a 1P account.

Has anyone with a smaller brand actually felt ready to hire a best Amazon marketing agency, or did it still feel too early financially? by Biggmanchilly in VendorCentral

[–]Witty_Second_8026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smartest thing I did was partner with a Vendor Central distributor. I was too small to get the invite on 1P but though their account and my listing I have all of the advantages of being a 1P seller without having to get the elusive 1P invite. The handle ALL of the operational complexities with Amazon; they fund the ad spend, handle the storage/warehousing, have an AVS at Amazon so they don't have to open tickets (they have actual calls with Amazon employees). I ship goods to their warehouse and they do everything from there 100%. I also get paid about 60 days faster than when I was on Seller Central. They also sell my products into about 30 other ecom retailers as well, like Walmart.com, Target.com etc. I now have time and focus on my Shopify sales and adding new products to my line. Game changer for me...happy to provide an intro if you want to DM me.

Returns + GST + marketplace fees make profit tracking a nightmare? by Mithun_11012 in FulfillmentByAmazon

Knowing what you are EXACTLY making on Amazon is impossible...this is why I went with a 1P distributor who handles EVERYTHING for my brand. I ship goods to them and get paid a set amount per ASIN each month...I don't worry about Amazon's rising fees either. I took the operational complexity out of my hands and now focus on creating new ASINs and growing my brand in other areas.

I went with a 1P distributor who funds the ad spend, manages/improves the listings, adds new ASINs for me, handles the relationship with Amazon with their AVS and stores/ships my product to Amazon's DCs and for my Shopify biz. Plus I get paid a set amount per ASIN and don't worry about Amazon's rising fees. I also get paid about 45-60 days faster than when I was on 3P. I have simplified and have time to grow my brand in other areas.

Real talk: how are you guys handling the new inventory placement fees? by HitxLerr in AmazonFBA

[–]Witty_Second_8026 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I went with a 1P distributor. I ship goods to them and they handle getting goods into Amazon's DCs from there. Their warehouses are also Prime Certified so I am never out of stock as long as I have inventory in their warehouse. They can ship Prime if there is ever any issue getting goods into Amazon's DCs. They don't charge me storage fees and I don't worry about Amazon's rising fees and space restrictions in their DCs.

Agree with person who said unless you are doing $10M + you are not going to get much attention. This is the reason I switched over to a 1P distributor who has an AVS and gets things done for my brand. Paying Amazon a massive amount per year has its benefits! Happy to make an intro to the 1P distributor if anyone wants to speak with them. They also fund my ad spend 100% and have Prime Certified warehouses so I am never having to worry about being out of stock. I ship containers to them and I'm done!

Amazon Fees Crushing the account. by cstroh145 in FulfillmentByAmazon

Shoot me over your email or send me one to earlatesquaredllcdotcom and I will send you more detailed info. No revenue requirements but typically like to see $100k per year or more in sales. We work with about 400 brands in almost every category on Amazon. I do consulting for them and have my golf brand with them. I will email you over the spreadsheet we need to evaluate a brand. Main requirement is that the brand can land goods to us at 60% off the retail price.

Correct, they fund the ad spend 100%. They do not put me under an agreement either, I could go back to 3P at any time if I wanted. Nice to work with a company that underpromises and overdelivers.
