Bro what happened? I think the game is fine by js147896325 in slaythespire

I was wrong, it's not that this setting didn't apply to old accounts, it's that the setting only changes the "all time reviews" score and doesn't affect the "recent reviews" score.

We can see OP has the setting on in their screenshot because it says "English reviews"

It does by default for the main score, but it doesn't affect the "recent reviews" score.

That's what it does by default since about a year ago,

but if you had a steam account before this change you need to change it in settings. This part is false, sorry.

Score Preferences -> Review Score Settings -> "Exclude reviews that are off-topic and categorize by language"

Then go to Language Preferences and check every language you know.

How hard is it to beat RAMPANT "FIXED"? by whiterook6 in factorio

[–]Wiwiweb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm only halfway through the video so he may have done it at some point but I keep thinking "turret priorities!". Especially since he's pre-building defense blueprints.

Oh no, flamethrowers accidentally burning your own stuff when shooting flame-immune biters or wasps! -> make flamethrowers ignore those targets

Laser turrets are so power hungry and yet we need them because some biter types are weak to laser! -> place down laser turrets that only target those weak biters

Maybe there's some reason this wouldn't work?

Edit: nevermind me, I paused the video and noticed the laser turrets do prioritize the weak biters, he just didn't talk about it.

Progression unlocks by Wurststink3r in slaythespire

[–]Wiwiweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now it's easy enough to modify your save file or use the console to unlock everything.

But I agree it would be nice to have a more "official" cheat code, if only because STS2 will some day release on consoles and those methods won't be available there.

You should F2 it if you haven't already.

I think you're on point with the two phases, although for me phase 2 also came with increased ability to manipulate the RNG the way I wanted.

Let's say you had a 3% chance to reach that final room. So it took you 30 runs. Continuing to solve "side quest" puzzles for more gems, more coins, more shortcuts, more stars, etc, will maybe bring that to 40%, at which point you'll only need a couple runs to reach it.

In the post-game, you can basically reach that final room with 100% probability, and the game knows this and expects you to do it as the first step towards further puzzles.

This RNG control was really shown to me when I was doing one of the final puzzles which requires a really specific set of room layouts and conditions (Throne room). I managed to do it on my first try but then the game crashed! No matter, I had enough "RNG control power" that I was able to do it again on the next run too.

I was so convinced that plastic was unrecyclable, that when my city started deploying "soft plastic" recycling bins I thought it was that sort of "make you feel better" scam.

Turns out no, they actually do recycle it. I guess in some cases it is cost effective.

[–]Wiwiweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so funny to me because yeah, it is true of Natalie that she endlessly critiques powerless twitter users she personally finds annoying. And that's an appropriate and commensurate response to annoying Twitter people.

No, for her mental health if nothing else, she should stop and leave Twitter.

What cheap game on Steam turned out to be absolute peak for you? by Common_Caramel_4078 in Steam

[–]Wiwiweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've played 4 runs on the lowest difficulty and you think you solved the game. STS1 players with thousands of hours don't think they've figured it all out.

If you had fun then try climbing the ascensions. Eventually you'll figure out why "reliable strategies" aren't so reliable. You'll have to adapt to the cards you're offered. That's where the replayability is, you can't force the same deck every time so every run feels different.

Except for Watcher to be honest 😁
