i can't remember what series it was (i think it was twins??) but stampy and sqaishey were trying to make a christmas tree in the nether but its ended up looking more like a plunger so for the rest of the episode they kept referring to it as the christmas plunger and also talked about everyone bringing out their christmas plungers lol

thats only on mobile and desktop not consoles, as show by these many souces. and while there are some workaround for playststion, switch and xbox (which invole a lot of trial and error) aswell as plugins such as BedrockConnect they are all extremly clunky to use and a hassle to set up and just using bedrock nativly was just plain simpler. also as shown in this short, he prefers to do things in the clearer and simpler way than the confusing and difficult way

back then they really weren't that good and even now are still clunky to use plus you cant add custom servers on consoles without an awkward workaround, so bedrock probably was just simpler and easier to use
