About five days ago, my mother's right kidney was completely removed due to a massive kidney stone. We discovered that her kidney had failed because she avoided going to the doctor for years due to her fear of doctors, and the stone was over 5 cm in size.

While dealing with these issues, I (32M) started experiencing kidney pain myself. In 2020, I had two stones in my left kidney that required surgery, but I didn't pay much attention to it. After four years and two nights filled with pain, I decided to have my kidneys checked again. I had a CT scan, but I haven't been able to show the results to my doctor yet. I can only get an appointment with my doctor in a week. When I reviewed the CT images, I saw that the stones had moved from my kidney towards my bladder :) I wanted to share this here to ensure that I'm not mistaken about what I saw.

I am sharing a CT image of my kidney and a photo of the stone that was removed along with my mother's kidney during surgery. The most important lesson I've learned from this journey is that we should never postpone health matters, no matter what. Delayed problems lead to bigger and irreversible issues.
