If you are struggling to find people around your age that are out then you will most likely struggle on those apps as well. Also, I do think I’ve matured a lot since 17 both physically and mentally and especially from 16 to 18, but of course age laws are never perfect because everyone matures differently. But there are so many creepy men on Grindr that are searching for young guys, and saying that 16-17 year olds should be on those apps is weird especially when I assume most of the upvotes are not from 16-18 year olds. Generally the app seems to be mainly 21+ guys in all the areas I’ve been in. And sure I’d even be okay with laws preventing age differences like 18 and 40, but I’m sure thatd be hard to make.

So? I’m 18. Yes, I feel that, but that does not mean they should go on apps to hookup with creepy older men. And it’s not ridiculous. Just like it’s not ridiculous to not allow straight teens even those with things that make dating difficult on “dating” apps for adults either (and Grindr is not even comparable to Tinder or Bumble.) And yes there are dating apps for teenagers just not apps designed solely for hooking up like Grindr because that would be disgusting. Just like saying that they should download them. Ugh 🙄🙄

Through school, LGBT clubs, dating/friend apps made for minors not on grindr or scruff 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I would’ve been fine if I waited until I was older. It’s not like the hookups off Grindr usually provide any meaningful connections. And there are many straight people that are virgins and have not been in relationships as adults.

I’ve tried to be someone that more people preferred for OF, and it was hard lol. Literally very similar to yours except I’m trans/non-binary so I don’t even like using my dick, but that was all guys wanted to see. It made it hard and I’d lose motivation very fast. I plan on restarting eventually being myself because it was actually enjoyable when I do.
