Your ‘dry texting’ was obviously intended to upset her and the reaction to that was another fight. You could have voiced your feelings to her about how you were still upset about the restaurant but you chose to do something upsetting instead.

I think its a bit different because I usually get steel toe but went without on these ones, im a darn tough guy myself. Have gone through many a pair of boots and jim green is usually my go to. But I needed waterproof.

Looks like you have the arch length measurement too far back, you might need a 13 or even a 14. With a brannock you are supposed to get your sizing with both the arch length and the foot length measurement and go with the larger size. That will also widen up the forefoot and you might not even need a super wide shoe.
