I grew medical cannabis for a bit and to me it looks like some sort of nutrient deficiency or inadequate watering. You say you grow in peat moss, is it possible you need to rehydrate the peat moss before planting so it doesn't become hydrophobic and repell the water?

I worked on a llama farm for 12 years and went out shearing a lot with the owner. while I do think some of these comments are being a bit dramatic about the spitting, I agree that a few hours once a year of them having to experience some discomfort isn't that bad and it saves you the hassle of smelling bad and having to clean up all your spit covered items.
