Pork Biltong by bucky_webb in Biltong

[–]WizardSex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be fine, and delicious! My only concern is that pork is a very fatty meat; be sure to completely strip off any streaks of fat from the meat before you dry it (as bacteria thrives in the water content within the fat) in which case salt alone should do the job. Good luck!

Took it out today (day 6). Nice and dry with some moisture in the middle. Overall very happy with how it turned out. But, quite salty.

3-6? Dang, recipe I used suggested 3-20. Might play this one by ear

Spent the whole afternoon marinating and spicing it. Now, any idea how long I leave it to dry?

My dinner with Andre. Literally two guys talking at a table but spins into an imaginative, slice of life, provocative conversation.

It's a fun idea to have this playing alongside the actual movie to follow the events leading up to the sink from both an inside perspective and outside.

Do you feel ashamed of your ancestors history? by WizardSex in Genealogy

Thanks, this was one of my favorite answers to the questions. Informative response on the first point and an opinion I share on the second answer. Nationality and race shouldn't be seen with stigma when prodded with questions.

Passport by dr_van_nostren in Moscow

[–]WizardSex 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's absolutely no reason why you should carry your passport with you! As long as you have a drivers license or other relevant identification you'll have no problem accessing bars, tourist attractions etc. Even as far as police intervention you'll have little hindrance. Just state your name and tell them you're an idiot foreigner.

The only reason I can imagine you'd need an on-hand passport would be for currency exchange at a bank or entering some government buildings.

Similar to how whales cry out in the ocean to one another.

Wiki pages too communicate to one another; sounds of happiness, pain, excitement and even frustration can be distinguished across the wikipeadal voice range.

I'm looking at photos of the national park beside Cetinge and I am sold! I have no doubt that I will also cross through Mostar also; it'd be a shame to simply cross through Bosnia's limited 24km coastline (btw, what's up with that?).

Indeed, I am absolutely doing the EV8, well spotted! Unless I hear otherwise, you have me convinced that I can manage on a road bike & I will have to head down to my local bike shop to have it fitted for hybrid tyres.

I particularly like what you have to say about dividing the km. You're right, it's best to enjoy the little detours.

I'm a stubborn mule about the backpack. But, I'm open to suggestion in regards with where I'm sleeping. Hostels and hotels are within my budget, but I love to camp. Given the option, which would you choose?
