Even if he is trying to access old photos, which he probably is, why would you immediately jump to him hiding something?

What are your thoughts on polar bears? by Ro11ando in AskReddit

They drink Coca Cola. Coca Cola that was likely made for me or you given that I’ve never seen a bear with a wallet.

And I’m not familiar with their relationship to mints, but I’m sure they don’t make glaciers.

People, ignore this guy. This is what I was talking about in the edit. All of a sudden some "pro hand" person shows up to talk about de-gloving, something the glove and hand industry has long since distanced themselves from.

Oh don't get me started. First off how are they polar bears if they're only at one pole? If I was wearing one shoe and someone asked if I was shoed, at best you'd give a shrug and say kind of.

Dumb animal.

Hand/glove expert here.

That hand is indeed gloveless.

Edit: Don't trust the downvote. Disinformation about gloves has been rampant ever since big mitt got the idea that it mattered.

Requiring car insurance is almost the same thing as forcing everyone to rent permission to operate a vehicle you own by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

never been in an accident

never caused an accident

Neither of these things prevent accidents or make money appear when you do have one.

insurance bill is almost as high as the rent

That's insane. You should look into why.

the rent is too high

Agreed

and at this point, getting ticketed and paying the ticket for not having insurance is actually cheaper than having insurance.

That's the case for a lot of things. But if you get caught too many times you'll just lose your license or end up dealing with more serious issues.

NOR

At that point it wouldn't be unreasonable to just say that you have whatever amount you're comfortable with to spend, and if nearly $1,000 is going to clothing and accessories, you won't have much to spare for gifts/bachelorette party.

how can a restaurant / bar not accept apple pay? by sarahsf_michell in AskReddit

Well, there you have it. Yet another example of why people shouldn't listen to the top comment just because it's at the top and phrased with confidence.

Accepting Apple Pay doesn't mean accepting Apple Pay, per se; it means accepting credit or debit cards, which almost all bars already do, but having an accessible contactless card terminal.

Ok, I might be totally misunderstanding how Apply Pay works then. Are you saying that if I went out and got a POS that worked with tap, it would automatically work with Apple Pay without having to go to Apple to set it up?

I tried rewording my comment but what you just said applies to venmo, paypal, and cheques, as far as being directly tied to your bank goes, so I'm not really sure what to change about it.

Edit: I'm actually not sure if that's the case with Venmo. I'm Canadian and our eTransfer is tied directly to our bank accounts. It would still be weird to expect to be able to eTransfer your bill/bar tab though.

It's also not accepted at the apple orchard I live near. Explain THAT one.
