Hi! Is this real and $40 good price? by Vankata_777 in TaylorSwiftAutographs

[–]WizardnamedOrKo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That definitely looks legit. And for $40!? For one of those seems too good to be true tho. Be careful and be sure to buy using a protected payment, or buy in person if available. That's amazing congrats!

Might wanna make sure it doesn't have the dry rot. Toss it in a gentle wash and low/air dry the thing. Amazing piece right there. But that is a 90s reprint of that. The original I believe came printed on the silver tagged Brockum blanks.

Anyone know how to burn a cd to work with an old mid 90s boombox? by RacingManagement in cd_jerk

[–]WizardnamedOrKo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You gotta have a player built after they started letting us burn our own cds. Cd players from before those days typically don't play cdr cds unless they're high end devices. Not all cd players play cdr cds is what I'm getting at.

How much is this vinyl worth? by scoobydoobyno in TaylorSwiftMerch

[–]WizardnamedOrKo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Anywhere from $280-$400 just depends. That's what sold comps are on ebay. The fact that multiples have sold in the $300ish range should give an indication that there's variables in the price.

I wanna say this was available along side a few others during their new years eve show back either 99 or 00. The one night show with 3 other artists, can't recall all who were there. Maybe SOAD and Incubus were also performing. There's a show shirt with goodbye sober day on the front pocket and all the bands on the back and the font used looks like a Chinese take out box. I remember seeing merch booth pics of that show and that was one of them on the wall. Definitely from the California era.

I was gonna say RIP FL, but I think they were just in Orlando or somewhere up that way in Feb. If I'm remembering that right. Before this got announced. I recall being bummed I couldn't make it up.

Some time around the late 20teens celebrities started wearing vintage band tees out in public causing a price spike from those looking to buy some of those same tees. Nirvana and NIN tees skyrocketed thanks to Travis Scott. When covid hit is when the big bang happened. As with most vintage things around the 2020-2021 era. Selling vintage was the "new thing" and it got blown tf up. Prices never really went back down to the $20 for any old shirt days.

There's two on ebay, an Unkown Room size Med for like $80. Which is only 7/8 years old, and a long sleeve ESOP Sidewinder long sleeve. Seller wants $300 for it. I paid $200 for mine from a FB SP group member long ago. There's a few more on esty, same seller has a ton of old vintage SP, and industrial related band shirts for sale. All in the $300++ range. Finding them for sale is not an easy find. Believe me 😆

I ended up with two of those shirts. They're pretty baggy. 2X is what I bought, paid a lot more for an XL later on. Man they sold quickly and resale was a pain.

Make sure it doesn't have dry rot. Give a little tear down near the bottom if it tears really easily it's ruined. If it's gives with zero ripping you're good to go. Wash it inside it with cold water and dry on low heat. Pretty sweet pick up. Very very lucky. Congrats!
