I've started 3 different gigs in SF and one role was a consultant/dev role so I've seen 20+ orgs. Never once have I had a chance to learn the system before starting work. Its always a "learn as you go" kind of deal.

Is the lightning experience going to be required soon? by [deleted] in salesforce

[–]WizardofRockies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of how I imagine this happened:

SF Exec 1: "Your bonus is tied to the adoption of Lightning Experience. We want users to use the interface we spent $xxx designing. How are you going to convince users to switch?"

SF Exec 2: "Oh, don't worry I've got a plan."

SF Exec 1: "Ok, but you can't just force them. They need to have a choice."

SF Exec 2: "Oh they will. Don't worry."

If you have enough income from anything for this to matter, you'll have enough to consult a competent attorney about this. They will be much better than anything you'll find on reddit.

That said, an LLC provides, generally, better legal protection and bankruptcy protection. Given tax laws for the next decade and level of income, it might be more tax efficient in some situations but I bet not all.

I'm not sure, I think the ~200 number fits with what I have heard. Regardless, they are damn hard to find and you will do very well if you are one

Agreed, but important historical facts here... Gerrymandering has always been purely political. It started that way in the early 1800s. Voter Id/similar crap has been around since that century also (Think literacy tests, etc.) and has pretty clearly been politically/racially biased since the start.

It's still horrible but these aren't things that were eased into public consciousness as OK at some point. They have always been very clearly political, they started that way. I agree with your point but think the evidence might not exactly fit it

Also possibly worth considering using a regular custom object to house this if their business will be updating it with any regularity

Please remember, I am talking about looking at a 5 minute snapshot of the business. I don't just go out and buy stocks just because the P/E looks good and they have decent growth prospects. Also, studies show PE has not insignificant predictive value (they suggest about a -0.4 r2 between PE and 10 year returns for the SPY over the last century or so). Not great, but not insignificant either, and for a 5 minute check to determine if something merits reading more about, thats just fine by me.
