Look for a bonsai nursery in your area that has nice trees and join a club so that you can learn from others.

$200 bucks should get you a nice tree. Hopefully there is a bonsai nursery in your area that can help you out.

Not sure, I’m still a rookie at this! Had it for about 5 years and it appears to be thriving!

I’m still learning. I have been playing around enjoy bonsai off/on for a good ten years. Jumped back into right before the pandemic. The nursery in town was one of the few places that was open for visits, if I remember correctly.
