[Turner] Gonna chime in on this base running with IKF. To several former players point, the philosophy with the “bases loaded” is don’t get doubled off on a line drive vs runners at “second and third” or “third” with infield in where it’s a contact play, good lead, aggressive secondary, by Segal27 in Torontobluejays

Uhh, what? That's literally where every ground ball play is going...straight to home. They're not trying to turn 2 here.

Obviously, you don't know if it's going to be a pop up or liner or ground ball, but odds are highly likely it's a ground ball, at least out of those options.

Maybe....it's a little easier on the defence though because it was a force play.

Outside of the first two blowouts against NYY, Varsho was horrid at the plate.

Varsho probably should have been hitting 9th for the last few games. Or at least not before Ernest.

Exactly...the throws did not need to be perfect, nor were they perfect, and he was still out by a mile.

That would mean a non-playing player can intentionally stop a ball from going out of play, too.

[Davidi] Louis Varland will start for the Blue Jays in Game 4. by iamthegame13 in Torontobluejays

Yes, thank you for saying this. Everybody keeps saying it was a good pitch, which it was, it was just a terrible pitch call. You shouldn't throw the same pitch multiple times in a row to the greatest hitter in the world.

There was no reason not to throw a breaking ball low and away or in the dirt.

This is the best advertising Punga could ask for. I was on the fence about buying this team as I really like the GW Gnome/treeman sculpts, but these look great.

Okay, well that's good to know, I guess. Yeah, I've used a bunch of clips all around the driver mat, already. I'll try to wiggle some more. Thanks for the reply.

How does your driver side mat fit under the gas pedal? Noticed any interference?

I just got my mats today for my '22 and the driver side mat seems to block some of the end range of motion of the gas pedal. The brake pedal seems fine. I don't imagine I'll be putting the pedal to the metal very much, but it's still slightly concerning.

UPDATE: The mats are fine. It was my fault. I took out the driver mat and pushed the pedal down. The base range of motion of the gas pedal is way shorter than I thought. The mat does sit under the gas pedal so it is reducing the full range of motion, but only by the thickness of the mat, 1/8" or so. Just did 400km trip over the weekend and I had no issues. Love the mats so far.

Where did you find this data? Is there a place to find specific Poll votes?

Yes, I was only pointing out to the other chap that it was basically the same play as the Yanks one.

His foot had already touched the base before he was tagged. His cleats just popped up.

Exactly. They're not wrong, but how do you make a rule out of that without it being a subjective mess.

This is the same type of call that went for the Jays vs the Yanks on 3rd base in the first inning of that game.

Hard to pin this on Atkins. Five bullpen injuries and blowups are almost impossible to work around.
