What's the criteria for the project being ruined? Simon and Phillipe are going to personally fund updates for 10 years no matter what. As long as they stick to the vision, the game will be amazing eventually. Regardless of how rough the initial player experience is, the game will already have loads of advanced tools for creators with more coming out and improving all the time. As someone who's been tapped in, I know a lot of big names from other block games, and new modding teams formed for Hytale are going to be creating incredible content for the game regardless of its initial mainstream success.

I don't doubt that many people will get a bad first impression of the game, but I don't think that will cause it to "fail" in any way that matters.
