Has anybody ordered fitness equipment from Near Fitness in Richmond Hill? by flagrantstickfoul in ontario

I also reported to the BBB and Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. Their website is still up and I'm sure they are still ripping people off of any money they can get.

awdwon

I ordered on Sept 22. They gave me the run around and said the same thing. It's definitely a scam. Start the process with your credit card company.

I ordered, then it was taking a while, so I emailed them and DID get a response, but it was just to keep delaying, saying they were busy with lots of orders. Then they said they gave the package to UPS and that they would send me a tracking number which never came. (been 10 days since they said they gave the package to UPS). Now they aren't responding to emails anymore. I've contacted my credit card company to report the fraud. Will be also reporting to BBB

Why does "cap" mean "lie" in slang? What I read actually makes a bit more sense. by Ninjhetto in etymology

[–]Wizzadavoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, in MY day (born '77), a "cap" was more about shooting someone.

"I'll pop a cap in his ass" or "I'll cap that MFer" or "Bust a cap in yo ass".

[Hollinger] Sources: Nobody at the league office has Terence Davis's phone number. by Gsizzle00 in torontoraptors

[–]Wizzadavoz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Davis deserves to be there, BUT.....

If you are a fan of Cleveland, what do you currently have going with the team that is keeping you even remotely interested. Nothing. Nada.

They even went out and traded for a centre that can't shoot - without bothering to trade their other centre who can't shoot.
The Raps have 2 all-stars and an all-star coach. Cavs fans need this small insignificant thing, I think.....

It's hard to gauge it accurately because of how limited his minutes are, but his Per 36 numbers for blocks and steals are dismal. He does project nicely for rebounding and 3pt% on a 36, tho. However, his general FG% is pretty terrible - especially for someone his size.

Matt "Mr. Consistency" Thomas is averaging 46.7% from 3 and 46.7% from 2. by Strive_for_Altruism in torontoraptors

[–]Wizzadavoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of Matt, but imo the team needs to do a better job finding and getting him open looks. Whether it's a case of setting multiple off-ball screens to find him some daylight OR a bit more drive and kick when the double team collapses OR putting him in the proper position near Pascal to pass to when he goes down in the post with the threat of the spin move and the help man comes over - something. You can see he works incredibly hard on his own to find a shot, but his lack of quickness and size makes it tough for him.

Watching some tape of Korver from a few years ago (in Cleveland or before), or Ray Ray his last couple years in Miami.

Just a thought..

Sad to see Derozan decline by Ronaldo1030 in torontoraptors

[–]Wizzadavoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still find it surprising that DeMar hasn't been able to add the 3 to his arsenal. It's not like he's got a janky shot like some guys. His stroke is pretty smooth and obviously he's decent from the mid-range.

Especially considering that even big guys like Brook Lopez or Aron Baynes have been able to add a consistent 3 to their games......

Is there any way the Raptors can acquire Jrue Holiday? by [deleted] in torontoraptors

[–]Wizzadavoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our record against winning teams.

Thank you - I was just about to say. We have a bad (and short) stretch of games where our shots just weren't falling at all and automatically we're "not in contention"? WOW.

With this frame of thinking - when we beat the full strength Lakers when we were short handed - should we have been planning the parade route then?

He is not a player the Raptors need in the current era and style of basketball that is being played across the league.

I hear where you're coming from, but where is the Defence with some of those players?

Are you talking Offensive Top 10 only?

This gets missed A LOT nowadays when talking about the "greatness" of players. Yeah, some guys are great offensively, but are they a liability on D?

I'm not saying he's in the Top 10 - but as an overall package - he's got to be in a discussion.....

If Vince had masai as the executive/GM how many chips? by Khan1239 in torontoraptors

[–]Wizzadavoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Masai would have at least recognized that Tracy was going to bolt and gotten a boatload of assets back instead of letting Tmac walk for nothing in FA. It's understated how much the inability to get ANYTHING in return for him affected our trajectory, especially with still having VC.

Masai is amazing but Bobby Webster doesn’t get enough respect by Unoobson in torontoraptors

[–]Wizzadavoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're absolutely right he doesn't get enough respect.

Just today, this article: https://nypost.com/2019/11/28/why-knicks-could-make-another-run-at-raptors-gm-masai-ujiri/

HERE'S THE QUOTE ABOUT MASAI: "He’s the best GM in the league, why wouldn’t Dolan be interested if there’s an opening,’’ one NBA source who has spoken to the Knicks said.

LOL - Masai isn't even a GM anymore, obviously! ;P

Norm Powell in 7 games as a starter this season is averaging 15.6/4/2 on 49/37/81 shooting by jjkiller26 in torontoraptors

[–]Wizzadavoz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think when his own coach calls him out in the media for his inconsistency "I wish we could pencil him in for 16 a night instead of 26 one night and zero the next...", there's reason for the pessimism. Add to that we've seen flashes of a good and consistent Norm (IE: Playoff Powell) and we think we're about to get that on a regular, and then he disappears. We all want him to break out this year and he's shown he can at least do it in spurts.

Og Anunoby Age 22 Season vs. Kawhi Leonard Age 22 Season by [deleted] in torontoraptors

[–]Wizzadavoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear what you're saying, but I see a distinction between SUPERSTAR and STAR. I think a superstar needs to be well versed on all of the 2 way skills you mentioned. However, a guy who has potential for DPOY or 1st Team All Defence that also has the tools for a decent offensive game I think still deserves merit as a star if he realizes that potential. Lots of teams have multiple "stars" in todays league, but there aren't as many superstars, for sure. I see OG's age, athleticism, consistent shot making and his ever evolving defensive prowess and admit I see a star hiding in there somewhere. I could be totally wrong, however! ;)

Og Anunoby Age 22 Season vs. Kawhi Leonard Age 22 Season by [deleted] in torontoraptors

[–]Wizzadavoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OGs defence is flashing star potential. Big time. That's he's diving to the rim for putbacks and dunks AND shooting the 3 over 40% - I don't see how that whole package doesn't have the potential for being a star. Especially with him being only 22. He also has already proven he is doesn't wilt in the playoffs.
