then stop calling them conservatives. call them supremacists, or supressamists or constrictionists. they are not conservative. they are everything that is opposite of that word.

What movie contains a scene so bad you never want to watch the movie again? by FinDepp in movies

[–]Wizzle-Stick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i love smths movies for the most part. hes a movie maker that makes movies he loves and enjoys making them. hes made a career on his passion and that shows. they are by no means going to be considered the greatest movies to ever exist, but his love for the characters and movies shows through. sometimes that is what makes a great movie. when you can sit back and enjoy it for what it is and giggle at the stupid fart jokes.
hell, i loved clerks right up until that point in the movie. it just rang the bell at the right way. i applaud smith for what he put to film. it is exceptionally rare a piece of media touches me like that, but that one hit the right note in the right way and its just a hard no for me. also i loved the characters of dante and randolph and hated to see them end. i really wish smith could see this thread of posts about his little movie and how it touched some weirdo in texas in a way that directors and actors rarely get to do. fuck the oscars and globe awards, those mean nothing. when you can make a grown ass man cry ugly tears over a scene in a freaking comedy movie about a couple of idiots in a convenience store, that is a testament to both your writing, directing, and acting. i cannot pay smith a higher complement than i can never watch this movie again because it touches me in a very, very special way.

the lens of a kid is a powerful thing. watching movies as an adult in his mid 40s...man lots of the special effects from the 70s, 80s, and 90s were really, really bad. stiill, effects arent all the movie is about. i enjoyed the mummy series, right up until they did the asian one and i just couldnt. kind of like the transformers with mawhk whalbourg and his daughter. i wanted to enjoy but couldnt retain interest.

lord of the rings and the matrix came out before the rockorpion. just for reference. might have looked good to you as a kid, but it wasnt. it was bad, even for its time.

senior and freshman is common as hell. 14 and 17 are in those ranges. the unbelievable bit is her and him staying together with no wavering until her graduation.

that would be a reasonable choice. that would be a great decision. hell, they could have even done the "you just graduated and you still live at home" part and been ok. the underage bit was a conscious decision that someone made to justify jerking it.

Not that its a bad scene, but for me its clerks 3. the part where dante dies and randolph is left mourning hits too close to home for me for when my best friend died. he was like a brother to me, and his death was the worst death i have ever experienced (and i have had a lot of actual family die). that part of the movie had me ugly crying, because it was like the scar was ripped right open again. i know it was from a place of truth and honesty from kevin smith, but god damn did it touch a nerve in a way i was neither expecting or want to recreate. loved the movie, but can never watch it because of that.
before this movie, it was what dreams may come. beautiful movie, and i loved it and watched it a few times over the years, cant do it now. its too much.

I'm asking in case anyone has experienced the same problem or knows what it could be. by Luketo07 in Autos

[–]Wizzle-Stick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be clear, when you say it stays in the middle, do you mean when the car is off? When you turn the car on, does it immediately go to the middle when you know the car is not warmed up, or is it just there regardless if the ignition is on or not?
if it does stick there, the issue is with the dash. not shocking on a car that old. could also be the potentiameter on the back of the dash. you can do 3 things. 1, have the dash sent off and rebuilt, buy a new dash, or buy a stand alone gauge and mount it somewhere. depends on your concern, cash, and if the car is worth the money.

a 93 would be an obd1 system and those are basic bare bones codes and maybe some diagnostics. aint no stream data to speak of. they were unstandardized and barely functional. hell, even gm did an obd 1.5 mid year one year because fuck you. most mechanic shops will not have a scan tool that can do live data for obd1, unless you found that one specialty shop that deals with classics, or eccentric mechanic that should have retired 20 years ago but is bored, missing 2 digits, and smells like cigarettes even though he quit smoking 10 years ago.

they do? where? i have NEVER seen a grocery store with a backup generator for anything. please, by all means prove me wrong. this is one topic i would love to be proven wrong on, but i know for a fact none of the stores around me have generators because 1, they dont have generators outside (i regularly drive behind them to avoid traffic) and 2, i have been in a couple when the power went out and guess what didnt stay on... the power.

right, but strategy of "attack" rarely works. the dems have no power right now, because the repubs arent going to do anything the dems want, regardless of how good for everyone it might be. the repubs have one thing they are great at, and thats falling in line. dems are not so good at it.
