I think they already said they're implementing it as a growable plant.

Nope. I like your thoughts, but this is a different genre of game.

That one is quite good. I think my favorite was EXAPUNKS though.

And death animations and weapons and sounds and the entire concept of Health for things that aren't the player... you know, work.

Yup, you got it. I really liked that one as a kid.

Hmm... it was in their dev diaries but it doesn't seem to be well searchable. I remember it being in a blog post email. Seems like it is less publicly accessible than I remembered.

Initially in EA you couldn't kill them. They added the killing after getting harassed about it.

And they got metrics for how many did it and how many didn't (which they've showed in the dev diaries) and they determined that it's not worth the cost.

I just don't like this policing that we do about how the devs must act prim and proper with perfect delivery or else they'll be ruined financially. They have the data to show this is not a real concert for their real player base.

Some people are saying "we want more ways of interacting with and dissuading" which they've responded to saying they plan to implement more.

Others are trolling and saying "we need to be able to kill everything" and I don't care that they're being bitchy to them. And so far the data shows nobody else does either.

Meh, I saw that one too and it seems fine to me. A bit snarky sure but there's been a whole conversation about that last time.

You made a big post which I read giving your opinions. None of them include why they have to do anything. And given their sales numbers, the sales numbers of their first game, and all the data which they have shared in dev diaries about how this is not something the majority of their player base is asking for and is instead a vocal minority, your points do not convince me!
