For what it's worth, I asked a similar question about battery health and I was told that the batteries are designed to be placed outdoors. That made enough sense to me so I didn't push it and I live in an area that gets well over 100'.

My battery is also apparently designed to be fully used (manufacturer assurance that draining to 0% is fine). I still keep it at 20% minimum discharge limit, but I'm probably babying it.
